I've only been to 5 European countries, but Italy was by far the best. The most beautiful. The architecture. The art. The food. The people. The landscapes. I would go back in a heartbeat. I can't imagine anyone saying the food in Florence is overrated. I had one of the best meals of my life in Florence (at Alle Murate),

It reminds me of the story of the guy who got stuck behind grocery store freezers and died. No one could hear him scream over the noise of all the freezers. Didn't find his body until after the store closed down.
