Not really comparable right now because Crews’ body was physically more ready and he had more pop and was a better baserunner and outfielder, but Curiel is special. The kid is an absolute baller and plays with unbelievable consistency for a young player.
Cowan and Evans have best WHIP on the team, followed by Anderson. Evans showed you he can start and Cowan can too.

Use them however you need to in order to win. They can do it all. Good starting pitching is the most consistent way to win games, but the last outs are the hardest to get.

If Guidry was healthy and you could get more out of Ware, Schmidt, and Williams, you could use Evans or Cowan as a starter every weekend.
I know. It just seems dumb that a pitcher that gives up 3 hits, including a 452 ft homerun, has no earned runs for the outing.
The last 3 guys got hits. How is a homerun not earned?
I think more of the issue was him throwing 18 straight fastballs. It’s only his 3rd hit given up all year
I hope Jones told him to F off

Looking for a lefty with pop

He crushed that.
I feel like it’s most of our runs in last few SEC series. And we have struggled to produce runs on any starting pitcher.

If we get to a bullpen, we hammer that.

Vitello can’t even count. Nobody is worried about him.

Anytime your catcher has to move the frame a foot, it’s a ball

I’m not sure he knows that you can hit anyone you want there

Does the ball just not carry here?

Curiel is definitely the shortest swing. Milam and Brown probably next.

Luis drives his arm back and straightens his front arm too much, in my opinion. He puts plenty behind it, but restricts his bat to stay in the zone. The motion looks long.
Shores has good stuff. He’s just not back to his original stuff yet. He can help in a few roles. I say he and Schmidt need to be available from bullpen on weekends.

Luis has a long swing. He’s strong enough to pack a more compact swing.

Dickinson, Curiel, and Milam have the best bat control on the team. I think Dickinson is the most dynamic offensive player we have. I’d have him 2nd in lineup because he can execute any part of your offense.
Cowan is the best and most consistent pitcher on our team
