The back end of the regular season LSU’s bullpen gave up runs, along with the bats being cold causing them to lose some games that we were winning earlier in the season. Fast forward to the CWS and our ERA is one of the worst of the tourney but some of these teams have not faced the competition LSU has and you are already starting to see their bullpen falter.
My other point is Skenes doesn’t mean automatic win, so far all the starters are holding it down until the 6 or 7th.

The bullpens came in. Looks like LSU is not the only one that has struggled to close out games.
