What’s left out in all this is that now with NIL, these “pro players” are probably going to make more money in college than anything they signed with the pros.

Put a pen to paper or formally join a roster and you are out. It’s pretty cut and dried. Doing anything else opens up a can of worms of precisely how much contact is too much.

I'd saying picking what NCAA rules that athletes can break and use TROs to play is being inconsistent. Why is one rule valid to use a TRO against but another is not? That's wanting selective enforcement of the rules which is the opposite of consistent.

I couldn’t care less if we get the players. It’s about them not being uniform in any of their dealings. Whether it’s the NCAA or the SEC. They need to get their collective shot together or we will make them.

Yeah I don't care if they are ruled eligible or not, but the NCAA is a joke. This is all on them for being spineless

It’s not consistent with how they treat baseball and they didn’t call an emergency meeting to make a rule specifically aimed at Alabama.

You invented a completely new dumb arbitrary rule.
You can go through the draft, dabble in the NFL, get some form of compensation but just don’t get too much.
Otherwise you go from ineligible to SUPER ineligible.

Somehow everyone else can play ineligible guys. But as soon as we do it’s a step too far.

Where was all this bullshite when guys got to play years in the minors and then come back 21-25 years old and end up leaving school at 26-29 years old in a different sport? There are former European pro athletes all over college basketball, and not a damn peep.
All of it is pro sports regardless of the different nuances, but only this gets so much hate. It's just for one friggin class not, "the new normal", like others are.

I agree with you . The season is here and time to focus there.
How we long term, unless we change out the country’s laws and court system , there is no difference in NIL and being paid pro so the historic idea of no pros in college will be just that , history. Will it be next year or year after? Time will tell but there is no stopping it.
