Ohio state has an excellent program and team. But Miami took it to them. Even more so than what Indiana did last month.

We shall see who is top 5 teams, but all the games without the charity teams involved have been played very well. I think OSU got out played and out coached last night. Miami is on a roll right now. And will give the remaining SEC team a true test next weekend.

I want the rest of the country to notice the level of refereeing in SEC. Perhaps national news might nudge them toward improvement, but will not hold my breath.
So far the games have been done well by the other league refs. All have not called every little deal.

Thanks for that. That explanation makes sense to me. Being told you are wanted but are offered lesser amount until you improve would make one look around. And not being offered to come back would definitely do it.

And I have no problem with it. There was something seriously off with the offense. These guys ,unfortunately for them, are from that side of team and so were part of the problem. Root cause of team issue or not, they need to be seriously looked at and evaluated and that was done . This is the result.

Had this conversation about transfer QBs with my wife today. We need two guys that Lane believes can take the wheel and lead right now. Let them compete for starter 1 and backup. But bring one if not two more to develop for future and or emergency. Numbers obviously depend on whether MVB stays - and I doubt Coach Kiffin thinks of him as 1 or 2 but rather the #3 if he can swing it. Just don’t know if MVB would stay for that.

To OP: good job with starting this. I think you are more correct than wrong anywhere. We need starters and depth. Hopefully many want to come play for Lane.

Besides the high school signees, there will be WR talent picked up in the portal that will be proven guys. Let the competition work itself out. We need 6-7 total new, so 4-5 from portal. Several from this year are leaving or portaling to elsewhere.

Yes. Politics with bama too. ND is a strong team and might beat any team in that playoff so they have a legit gripe. Since the committee decision 2 years ago to leave out a team weakened by injury, Alabama should be on the outside with 3 losses and a weak ending to their season.

Sucks for ND and BYU frankly. BYU only lost to Texas tech who might be the eventual champion. Alabama is proven loser with 3.

I agree that he is not likely to ever return to Alabama. I was very happy to hear Lane say LSU is the best job there is. He won’t leave unless a NFL job is offered that he wants to try and money will not be an issue.
