Not only the NCAA to appeal but the NCAA and SEC control who can make post season.

This is not happening..
Check out cost plus. I do all my routine blood pressure, allergy and pain meds here from same suppliers as local pharmacy for hundreds less per year. No insurance used. I have insurance but it costs more at pharmacy than at cost plus. I get 3 month supply of each.
No one a lock . All depends on how Feb. and March go and he finds who is ready.
Coach on the field

5 year as HC at HS on Alabama coast. Historic bad program now regularly in state playoff. Excellent coach so far.

Absolutely this. There are coaches out there who are better at basketball systems who can build this program up. We can be a stepping stone for some period before we have our coach that will be consistent winner.
I downvoted

You are correct year to year but it does matter. Lane is building a team and teaching a system. It will take a year to just learn a chunk. And another year the rest and for them to improve their execution. 2nd year players in the system will benefit the team. This is the power of the kids from Ole Miss that already know his system. Yes, several will leave but only because they want a chance to earn playing time somewhere else. If the player has the desire and ability, the money will be there with Lane and LSU.

It’s a sign that Lane wants to develop players into his system and also retain those that are successful so that fewer new faces are needed year to year.
Coach Cignetti says he does not care or even look at stars. He looks at HS transcript and can tell a lot of it’s his type student athlete. Must be present and making an effort. Plus improvement. That’s a way to build a team of players who want to be there and Will work together to improve.
And some people really care about those stars!!!

It’s one way to keep people committed to a certain
School
With revenue sharing - LSU must spent that on players. Add in there NIL from major sponsors. The money is there. It’s all about having a plan/budget and sticking to it. A lot of these for depth won’t need the NIL package until they prove themselves. And that group is just happy for the opportunity.
It works both ways. I will breathe easier when portal closes and the remaining tigers are not in the portal. That will also big a big win for Lane in maintaining the capable performers as Tigers.
Yes. But if they improve and LSU is even mildly successful, they will want more. No problem paying for performers that contribute their share. Non performance earns no raise or cut. If they leave, so be it. See last year’s team

He is the most competitive, consistent loser I have seen coach. Really crazy how consistently bad some of these endings are for our team. Year to year to year consistency. Like hitting th field goal kick into the bar consistently - you could not do it if you tried to aim at it. You cannot try to be this poor at winning close games and lose every time. It’s in his makeup.
Many opportunities to keep the separation. Just a choke job. Should not happen at home. This group is another group of losers unfortunately for him.
Needs to have those loser players shoot fouls for hours.

No excuse missing at crunch time 0-4. Just losers
I agree with you about Kiffin and LSU potential. When the money is there around the country, many things will be a bigger part of player recruitment and retention. Past relationships, past player development, the pay equity in the program, coach-player relationships, consistency in messaging to the team from coaches, and so on. Many things and Coach Kiffin seems to have a good handle on many of these. The not over paying for underperforming players is critical to many of these players and their want for the team.
Yes another RB to give us 5. One with decent pass protection skills.

Another qb.
More OL
Defense we add selectively to improve and deepen the Defense

Don’t forget the players in the portal can come back if Lane decides they are the best option and they want to stay. I see one or two that might fit that category.
I will be surprised if we roster less than 90 by the end of the month.

Fair enough, but he has one now I thought. I did not think walk on was a thing starting with the 105 count. Should be no distinction.
I live in Decatur and yes he is actually from here in North Alabama having played at local high school.

Wonderful for him !
For me it did.

For these guys, not so much.
