Biloxi doesn’t make sense either lol I don’t know why people want to change things when it has worked perfectly for so many years

Selfishly because it’s closer and can stay in one of the casinos lol

It really only makes sense at this point to globalize the sport and our brand more by moving the tournament to India. Then maybe we can pick up a few stud cricket players and teach them how to pitch without bouncing it first.

I’m certain Texas will also bitch about the SECCG always being held in Atlanta.

This I'm fine with. Atlanta sucks

Shreveport would be the perfect location, but I don’t know if there’s a stadium there that’s great.

ETA: If they were averaging that many people per session, they'd put the attendance in the box score. They don't put the attendance in the box score.

Admittedly I didn’t spend a lot of time searching, but I agree the attendance numbers weren’t readily available. The only thing I could find was that attendance for the championship game last year was a little over 14K.

Anyone know where the geo-center of the new-SEC would be as the crow flies?

Probably somewhere around Oxford?

Baseball needs to stay in Hoover that’s a no brainer. But watch them pull some shite and try to get the football CG moved to Jerry World. I doubt it happens soon due to corporate deals in place but they will be pushing for it when contracts are renegotiated.

No. They should allow the team that finishes #1 in the conference standings to host the conference championship game. That would be the fairest thing to do.

This is not logistically possible.

It’s central to all the teams!

frick the SEC offices in Birmingham giving the state a big economic boost every year.

The same for the SECCG.

Atlanta isn’t central anymore to anyone but Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee.

I’ve always thought Biloxi would be an awesome venue. The Shuckers have a very nice stadium. Plenty to do with all the casinos. Would be a very fun week as a fan.

Things are changing rapidly. It’s all about the money now. Things will begin going to the highest bidder.

Places like Hoover will suffer. It’s inevitable.

There is interest in moving the tourney to Shreveport. I am told consultants have pointed out that is closer to geographic center of the new conference alignment , convenient to I-20 and I-49 and has a large gaming presence, with plenty of hotel space. The concerns are crime and city leadership may be too weak to competently carry off host duties. Shreveport is actually in the process of destroying what used to be a nice baseball facility.
I think they should rotate between Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta and N.O.

It's a nice place but they only seat 6000 people there.

I get that stance, but it can still be great. I went to the games at Minute Maid as well as one of the weekends at Globe Life and they were both awesome.

Oxford and College Station for football so there's no home field advantage.
