Still Can't Believe We Landed Lane Kiffin

Not as bad as other teams given where the games are played. Minus Ole Miss all of our big games are at home. Fans can help us a lot this year

If nothing else, it is validation of just where LSU is in the college football program pecking order. There aren't that many schools who can just take Notre Dame's well regarded (at the time) head coach, and then turn around and steal Ole Miss' even more highly regarded coach.

LSU is one of very few schools where a coach can build a monster of a program.

if that happens, would you rather be stuck at a place like Ole Miss? or LSU?

I wouldn’t doubt it. I think Saban also mentioned that you can recruit easier from high school to LSU and that building up each year via the transfer portal is hard.

That’s fun if you ask me. I love getting Texas and Tennessee in particular. We have little history with each.

Fans and the hostile environment we create can absolutely be a difference maker in ballgames this year. Ole Miss game in ‘24 is a prime example. We don’t win that game if Death Valley wasn’t an absolute insane asylum.
Tiger Stadium is going to be a madhouse like the early 2000’s when we were hungry, vicious and visitors felt unsafe at times, and I can’t wait!

at Syracuse
I don't know it seems pretty hard to me but maybe not brutal. I mean, Purdue can be a tough place to scrape out a win. And Syracuse, they are in every game. Miami might even be in the top 25, but of course it's at home.
Oh wait, that's not LSU's schedule...

But his track record says otherwise. I’d be thrilled for the six years he gave Ole Miss. That would mean at least one championship game appearance, maybe two.

we need to keep the momentum that the start of the kiffin era will bring us. im talking about the atmosphere. the lsu fans are capable of making us a touchdown better at home if they put in the effort like they used to.

It’s not nearly as bad if you look at all the SEC SOS. But also if you can get through the first month it eases until the last four games.

Yeah.
For comparison, Texas has Ohio State at home (better than Clemson). They are also @ LSU, @ Tennessee, @ A&M, with a neutral site game vs. Oklahoma.
Arkansas plays: @ Texas, LSU, Georgia, @ A&M, Tennessee, along with being @ Utah and @ Auburn
Auburn might have it the worst in terms of location. They play @ Tennessee, @ Ole Miss, @ Georgia, @ Alabama

It hurts to think about it…
Baker probably takes a HC job so who knows how many defensive players would have transferred
Sloan, Hankton, and Davis are likely let go, no telling how many offensive players leave
Zero faith in BK to hire competent assistants. Zero faith in AT to rebuild the roster through the portal.
No QBs in the last 2 recruiting classes (not really BK’s fault but still reality)
Plus Woodward would have been involved in every hire and roster management.
Lane hasn’t coached a single game but it’s absolutely clear LSU made the correct call in firing BK.
