Lane Kiffin + Blake Baker = Dream Pairing

Genius on both sides of the ball for once
The Big Ten is a fricking Joke

OSU, IU, Michigan all played 2-3 (poorly) ranked teams all year.
Can't wait to see them all, except maybe OSU, get curb stomped in the playoffs.

doesn't seem like you watched the game
We Fired an AD who was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LSU alum, loved LSU
Posted by The Detroit Lions on 10/30/25 at 9:03 pm
brought the best coach available at the time with CBK, who like him or not stabilized our football team
brought in JJ who won two titles
brought home CKM who already won a title
Scott Woodward was a good AD who truly gave a shite about LSU.
This was a mistake.

Kiffin still doesn't seem like a long term stable answer, but he is definitely the prototypical coach for this shitty NIL era

If Scott told him to fire Sloan and he said no, is that not "insubordination" and LSU could fire him for cause?
Insubordination would be a stretch. Scott could've fired Sloan himself. There wasn't likely a breach of contract here.
If Nuss gets outplayed by MVB in practice this week, he should opt out asap
Posted by The Detroit Lions on 10/27/25 at 7:19 pm
Prefacing this by saying I really want to see Nuss succeed. The kid is and will always be all LSU.
If MVB looks better than him in practice, then it's time to opt out asap.
It'll save face making it seem like he's opting out because of CBK leaving instead of being benched.
It's his best chance of saving whatever draft stock is left. The chances of balling out the rest of the year are stacked against him. I think he needs to make a business decision

No. and frick them. and also i can't fricking wait until we finally match up against them only to curb stomp them.
He Could've Just Fired Sloan. CBK didn't want to be here anymore.

If he was really committed to staying here, then this should've been a no brainer.
I think he clearly had no interest in moving forward with us and used this as a way to leave. He also knew damn well that Sloan would be fired before we ever let go of Brad Davis.
This definitely wasn't just LSU telling CBK to frick off.

Mediocre to terrible at offensive game planning and game management. Head-scratching playcalling. Often has no Plan B, much less Plan C, when Plan A isn't working on offense. - Will often leave more talented and even game-breaking players on the bench in favor of lesser-talented - and in some cases, far less talented - players he considers more fundamentally sound. - Plays not to lose instead of playing aggressively to win.
the fricking similarities to the Les Miles era
Have Any Players Posted Something POSITIVE Today about CBK?

genuinely wondering. it just seems like his supporters are few and far in between
SELLER'S MARKET: the coaching candidate pool is WEAK
Posted by The Detroit Lions on 10/26/25 at 9:02 pm
i don't think we're getting a big name coach again. it'll be someone young and upcoming. it just feels like we're going to be set back another 4 years
Brian Kelly Grade: C-

i think he at least stabilized this program and the recruiting given the shitshow we were in 2020.
that being say, he had all the resources and top 3 NIL money.
you just can't regress like this.

if our QB can't throw a fricking slant, we need a new QB
Throw More Fkcing SLANTS
Posted by The Detroit Lions on 9/28/25 at 3:05 pm
if the line is shaky, we can't run the ball, and you want to build some momentum in the passing game, throw more fricking quick slants. Stop throwing these bullshite screens/throws behind the LOS on every early down
