I know he is supposed to be one of the best S/C guys around but I honestly don’t see how. Should he be on the hot seat in your eyes? Honestly i believe LSU should look in a different direction.

Yes. Strength training evolves. It’s time for a new young buck.

I know O knows his way around the weight room. I would think he can influence some of the program to suit his vision. I would think it improves overall

The problem is recruiting the wrong type of linemen

Our linebackers, WRs, defensive backs, RBs have no problem making it to the NFL

Even our offensive and defensive lineman make it there. The problem is we haven't had any elite true tackles

What don’t you see?

You say that and you absolutely know nothing about anything he does

I don't really opine on things like this because I have no earthly idea about what kind of weight training and conditioning the team does, how it compares to what other teams do, how it stacks up with prevailing trends in strength and conditioning, etc.

Let’s at least start with why you feel he needs to be replaced.

So hire a younger guy that probably learned everything he knows from Moffitt.

This thread is early. Normally everyone loves Moffitt during the summer when everyone’s posting the “moffitt-ized threads”. Then everyone wants to fire him in November.

Yes. The game has long since passed him by. The quantum leaps in functional fitness have changed so much since his primary knowledge acquisition for his craft. He, more than any other coach at LSU, needs a golden watch and a pink slip.
