re: Mulkey a bit past her prime

Much slower to adapt as the game is changing. Im a huge Mulkey fan but her insistance on playing an incredibly week schedule for two months was head scratching.

Players werent tested and developed bad coasting habits with game on the line. Incredibly difficult to be locked in all 4 qtrs and keep mental sharpness. Thats rearing its ugly head now as the team has no idea how to respond, its all mind set.

Mulkey and her soft schedule created the teams mindset to play soft and timid, no desire to win
Super soft schedule for two months created a soft mindset and lack of killer instinct
Sloan took over Miami playcalking

The pathetic schedule leading up to SEC play is responsible for this lackluster performance. Players arent tested and locked in, poorly conditioned too.

You need games to keep the focus and intensity.

Very disappointed in this schedule and results in SEC play. Simply inexcusable.
This helps with the Wolford hire. He's in over his head and one of the few coaches Saban asked to leave and Saban admitted made a mistake in the hire.

Wolford had some great mentors to learn from over the years but not sure it ever clicked. Cregg is proven and regarded as great teacher but severely lacked in recruiting.
Will be interesting with Wilford. Very underwhelming hire. Saban processed him and admitted didnt fully look into player development at his previous stops.

Saban was not a fan of Wolford. Kicked him to the curb. One of the few coaches he made a mistake on in vetting offensive line play at previous stops.

LSU needs to force them to leave Ole Miss ASAP. Cant believe the antics the ole miss administration and fanbase is stooping to. Program needs to be gutted and sent back to the stone ages.

Simply not good for college football.
The antics of Ole Miss program and fanbase is despicable. Georgia needs to blow them out and their program needs to be gutted.

Louisiana is in shambles with health care, education, infrastructure but ranks highest in obesity. So many issues to work on yet this is the focus.

Saban has said he realized his mistake on making him OL coach. Very underwhelming hire.
Will the governor allow Davis to be fired?

Too bad LSU administration refused to fire Davis on multiple occasions. Kelly wanted to but was told no on 2 occasions
Agree, Woodward and governor refused to allow Kelly to fire him last offseason and after Texas A&M game.

Kenzel went overboard on the free BK, but his mom and dad or just mom should have been invited to be on the field for senior day.

The governor has enormous influence over academics and athletics. To not want BK or other family in attendance is crossing the line.

I know Landry is very well liked here and many here voted for him but you have to at least question his influence on football program and how the state ranks among other states.
His hands were tied. He was not allowed to fire Davis.
Are they still firm on keeping Davis? They absolutely would not allow Kelly to fire him.
BK wanted to fire Davis. Governor and administration said No. I think that was when he gave up.
Its not a good look where the governor has such enormous influence over a state university from Academics to Athletics. Its really unprecedented for a governor to have such influence so that is catching media by storm. Governor dictating contracts etc...
Please keep in mind the governor had enormous influence over the firing of Kelly, termination and supposed settlement. Governor floated the idea of having Trump coach the Tigers. Not surprising the firing and settlement dispute is ugly and greatly mismanaged.

Why does LSU have an AD or Chancellor or President when the governor controls all aspects? Yes I know they are puppets, but for a University to have a strong Athletic and academics program you need independent and bright people to think on their own. I get the impression each one will be asking Landry if its okay to do this and that.
