My only complaint is we don't have many almost identical videos of Moffit screaming like a coked up pimp on a stormy night like other schools have.

Is he really screaming enough?

Offseason....can’t criticize the football program. You should have known better.

If the results don’t match the hype, you can bump this thread.

I think he’s asking the experts what they see.

So, Lester, what do you see?

He gets credit for being one of the best around. Not sure what qualifies him as that, but it’s definitely the perception around here.

Our problem is not WR drops. The primary problem is that Bama and others beat our lineman at the point of attack and on the first step over and over again. Explosion and quickness. We have not had much of a pass rush for years. We get dominated on the line of scrimmage as well. Some of,it is that Bama film and tendency analysis has given them insight into our play PreSnap. Some of it is recruiting. But some of it is strength training. It is encouraging to see some of our players doing work with outside position coaches. It is disappointing that they have to

Moffitt doesn't have to do shite. Just order an assistant to set it up.

I don’t know where you got this crazy idea about the S&C coach is now being blamed for not using a jugs machine.
There is not a single university that expects a S&C coach to do this but somehow Tommy Moffitt is now being blamed for our wide reciever issues. You are reaching way out on this one. I mean I wouldn’t go to my car mechanic for brain surgery

Yes. Our team should have been prepared to play the seventh overtime. It cost us the game.

Possibly he should be on notice, though I doubt he will be.
Obviously Bama is the bar. When you look at Bama players, especially lower body muscle and strength, there is a difference between their LOS guys and ours.
I don't think Scott Cochran is doing rocket science in Tuscaloosa. From what I've read they have a heavy focus on squats, and it shows.

It's more pharmaceutical than physical science.

Scott Cochran, the S&C coach at Bama, was Moffitt’s assistant. He’s implementing the same philosophy.

Ohio State did it last off-season and gained over 5000 yards passing.

And the S&C coach doesn't have to do shite. Just tell some GA to unlock the equipment room every day. Assign 50 reps to all receivers. The WRs will do the rest.

It ain't brain surgery.

Yes. Yes it is. Drops are drive killers. In this new offense excessive drops can cost LSU a game or two.

And of course there are other problems, but getting WRs reps is the EASIEST to fix.

Lol, OSU had a stud first round QB, a solid O line, and stud WR's. These things may have played a small role. BTW, have you been told what the LSU regimen for WR's using jugs machines is?

And the WRs were called "Stone handed" on the Ohio State boards before they all committed to 10,000 of-season reps last year.

Are you really that clueless about how essential every-day reps are to elite receivers? College and pro.

Ohio State did it

Ohio State throws the ball 60% more than LSU. If you look at the stats they have just as many drops per game but have 3Xs the pass attempts. I guess they should have used the swim coach instead

I guess the track and field coach should be fired when our receivers run the wrong routes

No he doesn’t. They use the jugs machine all the time.

"If you look at the stats..."
If you look at WHAT stats?

There are no NCAA stats on drops in college football. Only one fan site claims to gather them - and that site is a fan-boy site. Type whatever stats you like, and they'll put them on their board like a position coach authorized them.

Random guys posting random stats.

[starts with "C", and ends with "M" - I don't like putting a name out there for that site]

LSU has a drop problem - quit denying it - it needs to fixed if LSU is going to have a shot at the playoffs!!!
