It might have been better attended if they held it closer to when he actually passed. it's been almost two weeks now but I know that might not have been possible
It's not a big deal though it was more so for former players and people who actually knew him

Frankly, we've gotten so used to everything being done for the donors, the average fans feel shut out

The only thing that was disappointing to me was that other than the special guests on the floor, I didn't see even one LSU student in attendance.
Current LSU freshman were 2 when Skip was last AD.

Shiva would have been at his house for the family in the days after the funeral. A Jewish funeral would have been the next day or so.

There were probably 200-300 people in the stands. I was very disappointed. I thought it would be thousands. More "fans" than that will probably be b!tching on here after the 1st loss of the season.
I love what Skip did for LSU but, I was tired and didn't feel like going last night.

It really was embarrassing for there to only be 200 peeps in stands. But I bet they sold the place out…….

C'mon man. People can't set their lives to the side to attend this. They can honor him in many ways. It doesn't mean we didn't care.

There are many that have jobs.

That's disappointing. I would've figured 4-5K. Probably would've been better to do it on a Saturday.

You're one of those small-town people who are proud to have the school mascot on the water tower. We can admire Coach Bertman from home as many of us WORK.
