I watched it on television, The floor was packed but I saw a lot of empty seats in the stands. I blamed that on the fact that the cameras were mostly aiming at the seats on the side and behind the stage where people would not want to sit.

Lots of former players and family. Must have been 200+ former players at The Box after the PMAC.

They wanted to avoid the traffic leaving the area of Tiger Stadium?

Did they stay all the way through or leave by the halfway point?

Yes. Many people work retail land thousands work in plants that never close. The world doesn't stop at 7 pm.

but from a distance

funerals are reserved for family and close friends, not a fan base!
