This actually annoys me. Her suspension would be OVER before the race.
Pick your best 4
She’s your best
Further, I don't think it was a guarantee that she would get the 30 day suspension instead of 60 day one. Can't burn an alternate spot if that is up in the air.

You added a “but”. There’s no “but” after “rules are rules”. You either understand or you don’t. You said you understand.

Over / under she runs? The liberals will be all over the U.S. Olympic Committee, don't kid yourself. Watch how fast biden's handlers have him crawfish back from his statement that a rule is rule. She'll run.

Ah, my mistake. I was operating under the assumption that you weren’t a fricking idiot. I am more than free to acknowledge that she broke the rules and must abide by the consequences of her actions while also acknowledging that the rules are antiquated and, when enforced, can lead to a lessening of the quality of the events.
She broke the rules and has accepted her ramifications gracefully. However, these events aren’t going to be the same without her.
I do think it’s admirable how passionately dedicated you are to being an idiot

No they won’t.
The woke crowd LOVES authorities - this is a rule breaker and she’s bad mmmmkay?

We agree so far. We likely also agree that Marijuana should be legal.

That’s a different topic altogether. But we will agree.

Again, don’t be a jackass. I’ll assume we’re both intelligent individuals.

Pretty simple
Follow the rules!
If not deal with the consequences!

quote:Bonds was a lifetime doubles hitter. He wasn’t that until he got on the “clear”. You’re clueless just like the otherwise. If you want to say “everyone in that era were on peds, fine, but don’t give me that shite with all of the evidence that says he did it including the tracking. Andy Pettitte admitted it. Clemens lied about it. I loved Pete Rose but he was caught betting on baseball then lied about it. Ken Griffey Jr was more impressive. He actually aged naturally and injuries slowed him down.
Bonds never has and is simply guilty for being an arse while being the best to ever play the game. He was the best player in the “steroid era” and he was the best player before the steroid era
None of them deserve to be in.
It allowed players to heal faster and recover quicker.

How hard is it to not smoke weed for a few months?
To an addict, pretty hard. Yes, you can get addicted to weed and anyone who says you can't has no idea (speaking from personal experience.
I don't know if she's an addict, but we know Tyrann was. You'll say to yourself, "I can quit--it's just weed," but then you realize you can't, but it'd be stupid to get help for just weed, so you think all you have to do is ride it out without getting caught.
I'm not trying to preach against the evils of marijuana--If you can smoke weed without forming a habit and are able to quit whenever you want, by all means, please do. It's relatively safe and should be legal everywhere.
But addiction to cannabis is absolutely a thing, and it's a lot harder than just "following the rules."

Why is this news? If she's ineligible for one event, she would be ineligible for all.
Don’t act so cocky.
The reason being is that the weed suspension is only so many days. It was definitely going to disqualify her for the 100m. The relays are later in the Olympics and so they thought that schedule might allow her to participate in the relay.

If her "biological" mother truly mattered, seems like honoring her by ensuring a spot on the Olympic team should've been enough motivation to lay off the weed for one more lousy month...

Agreed 100%. Her "biological mother" flat out abandoned her from what I read.
Doesn't make sense. As someone who smokes pot regularly, it mostly intensifies whatever I felt like before I smoked. If I was relaxed, I become really relaxed. On the other hand, if I was anxious and sad I became REALLY anxious and sad.
This just boils down to her doing something stupid with a shite ton on the line and getting caught. Good on her for not lying about it and owning up to it.
She WILL be back.

I’m surprised the Olympic Committee didn’t use their discretion and pick her for the relay. They could have found a loophole and satisfied a lot of people while holding her out of the 100.
I applauded they stood their ground and set the precedent.
