This actually annoys me. Her suspension would be OVER before the race.

Pick your best 4

She’s your best

There is no reason for her to be left off the relay team

Maybe they were afraid she would make ANOTHER brainless decision, like she did with the weed, that could be detrimental to the other relay members.

It's pretty hard to TRUST someone that's not smart enough to follow simple rules to maintain eligibility before the biggest race of her ENTIRE LIFE! But maybe that's just my opinion?

Unless weed magically makes you run faster, this one is silly. I know, rules are rules and she made her decision, but it’s not like she is doping or taking steroids.

So trust her to be clean at the Main Event after shes proven to be untrustworthy at the warm up event? Sound reasoning!!

She's actually handled this better than her supporters.

I get what you’re saying, but are you really going to conflate smoking a little jazz cabbage to what Bonds and Rose did?

I like her and I feel bad that this happened. She knew the rules and potential consequences of these actions as she said. She will have to live with them unfortunately. Hope she comes back stronger

All of this, and she acknowledged this as well. She never played the make up an excuse or blame the rule game. She owned it completely.

And people wonder why athletes want to compete for other countries that send their best based on total performance and not just the trials.

It's amusing to me that the people now saying, "rules are rules", are the same posters that were saying that they're never wearing a mask because they don't like mask rules.

But that's ~different!~

We're a country fricking founded on breaking the rules. The same ones say "WELL THAT'S THE RULES" probably have a Gadsden Flag somewhere in their belongings. You mean to tell me that red-blooded American tigerdroppings would give up their guns and put on a mask tomorrow if that what the law said to do? Kiss my arse. You only follow the rules you want to follow.

to what Bonds

Richardson actually failed a drug test. Bonds never has and is simply guilty for being an arse while being the best to ever play the game. He was the best player in the “steroid era” and he was the best player before the steroid era.

But he admitted to taking steroids while she just tested positive for weed. I’m not even arguing that he wasn’t great, you’re just tossing red herrings lol.

I understand rules are rules and all of that, but if the best of the best aren’t participating, then the 100m and the relay are second class events imo

What IS and what SHOULD BE are two different things. These athlete know and agree to what the rules are. Regardless of how she or we feel about the rules, she knew what she was doing was against the rules. Period.

You’re making an assumption that may or may not be true. While I was against the mask mandate, I followed said mandate and wore one. I’m still in the “she broke the rules category.

But yo your point, that goes the other way too. So be careful what you proclaim, you’re either against rules or you aren’t, according to your post.

I love how you just restated what I acknowledged at the beginning of my post instead of actually responding to what I said. Yes, she must abide by the consequences of her actions.
