Sankey's agenda - boot LSU from the SEC. If that were to occur, here's what may happen...

IMO, it would start the domino effect of big time athletic programs bolting from the NCAA and and realigning. I obviously have no proof of course, it's just a hunch.

Sankey, be careful what you wish for. You just may well find yourself out of a job.

LSU is not going anywhere. Sankey may get the boot instead

Sankey is holding on for dear life to a model that is about to be a dinosaur. Can't say I blame him. He's already been cucked by the the Big 10. He fricked up the revenue deal. The poor bastard is looking for any win he can get his hands on.

There needs to be a new, single "Megaconference" of 32 teams that basically play an annual round robin tournament 12-game schedule to determine the Top 12 teams. Of the Top 12 - 4 get first round byes. #5 - 12 pair off (@17 - so, 5 plays 12, 6 plays 11, etc.), eliminating 4. The 4 survivors play the 4 with Byes. Then you have 4 teams for the semis.

All essentially decided on the field. It eliminates rent-a-wins and really puts a crimp in those smaller schools' revenue streams, but this Top 32 of elite CFB teams will then decide things largely on the field and not in some hypothetical, uneven, unbalanced "pre-playoff" environment we have now, STILL at the mercy of subjective polling. STILL.

We'd go independent for a couple of years then join the Mega Conference.

First, the “NFL Players” are going to win their law suit against “Stanky” and the SEC.

Second Stanky and the SEC are channeling their inner Trump. Bluster then negotiate. (Aside, I like Trump’s bluster.) They will not actually make the mistake of outing LSU.

Third, if the SEC is stupid enough to expel LSU. LSU will one, win a quarter of a billion dollar lawsuit suit. Two, become the instant top program of the ACC. And third, become a perennial college playoff team because of less injuries and more victories in an ACC schedule.

Won’t happen. But not the worst thing that could happen.

I’d go 48 teams. 16 sec, 16 big10, ND, and then 15 from the acc and big 12.
Divide into 4 12 team divisions, play 10 division games, 2 cross division games.
16 team playoff.

Works for me. Then we can water down our schedule like the other conferences do.

There will be more than 32 in that model with 34 already in B1G and SEC.

It’s going to take far more than SEC booting LSU to create the semi pro league you described. The PCSA failing could be that impetus.

Pray for GOP to retain the house and Speaker Johnson to play hardball with Sankey.

Sankey is an idiot and we have some heated rivals, but I am 99% positive that the rest of the league would have more sense than to let Sankey go through with that.

Uh, it only got this far because many in the SEC want us booted.

Ironically, much of the motivation for what the SEC is doing is based on leftist American politics.

Doesn’t Stankey’s contract expire next summer? He’s almost out of a job anyway

It’s already gone too far. You can’t fire bullets over people’s head and then say “we didn’t actually try to hit you”.

Publicly threatening expulsion can’t be undone. The other members allowed that to happen, still allow it to happen, and did all of that with no real logical complaint. Every argument of the SEC fails on a logical basis.

Big 10 would love LSU. They paid more money per team last year and they would love a foothold in the middle of SEC Country.

Once LSU is gone and the remaining big 3 teams demand more money instead of sharing less, the SEC will fold or become a power 5 with maybe only Alabama staying around to rule over the vassals.

Tex, A&M, GA, Fla would all jump ship in a year or two. Maybe even Tenn. They would do well in the ACC.
