Can't have our top home run hitter and leader in RBIs riding the pine - it's simply inexcusable with Pap and B.Jordan struggling to hit

Uh no.

Not a knock on Romero, he has proven he can park that ball but I agree with the DH right now.

I like Romero in the lineup. Problem is you lose some, not much, but some with Romero as a catcher. (I'm not dumping on him by any means) Vice versa with Papierski. Great catcher but you lose some, not much, when he's at the plate. Overall, not good at the plate.

Both Jordan twins have big hit capabilities. While I'll take a homerun at any time, it's important that we get the runs on base home and make them count.

Romero is hardly "riding the pine."

No. There are two B. Jordans. Kindly, keep your suggestions to yourself... Dumbass. With all due respect.

So what happens if/when Pap gets hurt? You sub in Romero as catcher and lose your DH?

This is a discussion board for LSU sports. I will continue to exercise my First Amendment rights to make suggestions about LSU baseball via this forum. Also, you really know nothing about what it takes to win! SAD!

I think they lose a lot when Romero is catching rather than Pap. Some of those passed balls this past weekend were shaky.

I particularly enjoyed the one at which Eliza fooled that Hungarian.

In fact, I've never seen a ruder pest!

Romero needs a couple games off to get his mind back right.

Romero has proven he doesn't hit nearly as well when in the DH

Romero just had a bad weekend, both behind and at the plate. That's all. He'll be back. Pap didn't look so steady behind the plate either. I counted at least 6 he didn't catch cleanly, at least 1-2 resulted in stolen bases.

It's not "inexcusable" when you look at his struggles this past series, both behind the plate & hitting. He left a ton of runners on base, at least twice with the bases full & only had one decently hard hit ball. Defensively, it could be said that he "let" at least 3 runs score between passed balls advancing runners into scoring position, scoring on subsequent base hits, and that throwing error was huge. Having said that, CPM knows his value to the team & sitting him for the second game of a day double header was not necessarily aimed at his performances. But sitting either of the 2 B's makes no sense at all.

Agree totally-and his bat has been the spark in a lot of our wins.

He is, but his biggest problem receiving that seems not to improve is he telegraphs the pitches too much by where he sets up and where he locates his mitt before each pitch.
