Just wondering why this mindset is still prevalent at LSU?
Fans with young children tend to use the South Alabama/Nicholls St. games to begin the LSU indoctrination process, so you will inevitably see mass departures starting at halftime as the evening hour gets late. UCLA was a unique situation with the extreme heat for the East stands. But in the end, it's really no one's damn business but the fan with a ticket as to how it is used. Get over it.

Please tell me. Why isn't your smart-arse the HC?
Lighten up, Francis! Fans gonna be fans, and if that offends you, bugger-out. And these are legitimate, statistically-based comments, not some far-fetched idea.
Greenville - Spartanburg is about 1.5 hrs. from Columbia and Southwest flies there along with most of the other airlines.
It's the ultimate humiliation when the other team empties its bench on you. No one deserves it more (OK, maybe Oates).

Think of Base Camp 4 on Everest, then look up from there. Bring your own Sherpa.

The LSU job will not be highly-sought until (1) the NCAA finishes crapping on us and the light at the end of the tunnel is visible and (2) the NIL money is in place for men's basketball. McMahon will have that long to substantially improve.

I don't think we have any other choice, because if Woody could have convinced someone better to take it on given our unknown future, he would have done it. There's no microwave solution for us. Grin it (or not) and bear it.
Is this Subject even necessary? Ultimate "duh".
If Polian needs to keep his on-field position for recruiting, hire a ST advisor and tell Polian "do EXACTLY what he (advisor) tells you to do".

The 8th inning, particularly the bottom of the 8th, has been berry, berry good for the Tigers over the years. It just seems to be LSU's MO - breakout late inning, finish them off in the 9th. I can't help but think back to 2008 Super Regional, Game 2 vs. Cal St. Irvine and the 8th inning. They had us by the short hairs, and the Tigers flipped the switch. Magic.

It's says something about lack of LSU support for basketball that the head coach is directly involved in pay for play like that. Just get 1/50th of the support from boosters that football gets and Wades name wouldn't have had to be on any of it.
This is what's infuriating to me as an LSU fan that is basketball first.
1,000% CORRECT! If we had an arena with club seats and suites, the well-healed occupants would have made sure there was a great product on the court every season.
The LSU ticket office for that game is a futile effort. Your best bet is Stub Hub or other ticket service, or check the Ticket Exchange Board on this site.

They have a very low basketball IQ as a team. They don’t play smart basketball. They hustle and there’s effort. There’s athleticism. It’s just not channeled appropriately. And wade just can’t get them to play with good fundamentals. I don’t know what he’s trying or not trying but it isn’t helping.
Agree with all this, except the hustle and effort. They do at times, but when things start going off the rails, some don't show hustle or effort. Eason was an example of that tonight.
THE Most mentally-fragile basketball team in program history?

Because it’s a foundation. Can not pay for the benefit of an individual. Would lose all tax benefits for TAF and be out of business.
These foundations, like Horns with a Heart, are not formed to benefit individuals. They are formed to support other non-profits by providing them (other non-profits) with athletic "NIL", which they (i.e., Horns with a Heart) hires and pays a "reasonable, market rate" compensation. Technically, that's not a violation of tax-exempt rules.

Seems like a bad time to get rid of someone like Austin Thomas, unless you believe he is at fault for letting us get to this point.

O was never the price for the 2019 NC, so it's a stupid question. No one, NO ONE, said "hire O and you will win a natty in 3 years, then suck".

They also have to learn convergence. Don't run to where the runner is but to where he is going to be. Because if you run to where he is, he is not going to be there when you get there. You don't shot a duck where is is but you lead him.
It took 3 sentences, and an analogy, to make this point?
quote:
Saban ruined LSU, we expect championship runs every year
He started it but we've played in 3 NC games after he left, won 2 of them, each with different coaches. It's not the person, it's the fact we've WON 3 in a 16-year span that built the expectation.

Your comment "we all see now" is vague. If your "now" references what the team is doing now, I agree. If you mean we all "now see" what they've done all year, issa no for me, dog. They've done both often, just not last weekend starting on Saturday.
re: Dan McDonnell is a damn good coach

Class act, Cardsingagain!

Manieri has been a "hunch" guy since he came to LSU. It's hard to understand a lot of his tinkerings with the lineup, pitching rotation, etc. He's been riding the success of his hunch moving DJ LeMahieu to 2B and inserting Nola at SS for much too long.
re: FWIW interviews with Freeman - makes sense

Freeman could just as easily be playing us against ND; what better way to up the offer from ND than to take a flight to Baton Rouge. I'd give us less than 50% chance.
The mouth-breathing on this thread is fogging up my computer screen.
