My fear is the courts will grant these guys eligibility and then next year some homer judge will use this years rulings as precedent thatyou CAN go pro and come back if you get cut. I think right now its intended to be a 1 year thing but IDK if that is actually going to be the case.

Context. Its a one year issue. They aren't be granted eligibility just for the sake of it. Its for the fact they should have had the eligibility to begin with. Next year they have the eligibility so if they decide to leave they are forgoing their eligibility unlike this year. Context matters.

They are acting like Lane and LSU started all of this?? Last I checked, multiple federal and state lawsuits were filed long before the suit in Louisiana. I guess they are getting very selective with their memory. They are just pouncing on Lane and LSU because they are the ones that are perceived to be benefiting the most!

Ross Dellinger already reported that last week. This is not new news.

Hopefully we also sue Michigan and get their NC taken away.

sounds like most judges are saying in this instance, people in your class have remaining eligibility, this knowledge could have affected the decision you initially made. This isn't quite the same as a guy going pro, not being good enough, and wanting to come back. Again, don't love it but the NCAA could have avoided this by better timing or just making it so entering freshmen are now under the 5 for 5, remaining are still under the old eligibility rules and have a gradual roll out.

most judges

All it takes is one judge next year to rule that people went from pro training camp to college ball last year so its precedent to do it again.

Most judges think JUCO should count towards your years of eligibility but one judge thought otherwise and Pavia got to play an additional year.

Yea no shite. Legal stuff like this is confusing, these dudes wouldn’t know where to start. Of course LSU started the process.

I wish he wasn't eligible either but Chambliss didn't go pro.
Chambliss knew he was out of eligibility (under the old rules) and got a hometown judge to help him. And I don't dislike Chambliss, but how different is that than an undrafted player?

Nothing seems to matter nowadays. Where do you draw the line? Guys that know they're out of eligibility but file suit for an extra year? Guys who entered NFL draft but didn't get drafted? NFL draftees that didn't make a team?

The whole thing is a shite show.

Let me create some more headlines that are made up.
LSU starts the war between Ukraine and Russia
LSU imports beef from Argentina
Kiffin calls 10 pro teams and tells them to beat up Ole Miss fans
Jay Johnson is currently pitching in the majors for Kade Anderson
Will Wade just shot every player on the Duke squad.
LSU closes the Strait of Hormuz

I completely get and support LSU's stance of lets recruit these guys because if we don't someone else will and if they get ruled ineligible then so be it.

I personally don't want the NFL bouncebacks to continue to be a thing. I'm not a lawyer so I really don't know but the Texas Trial group or whoever spelled it out really well. Its the lack of CHOICE that makes the 2022 class different. If that can be a sticking point, I am all for letting these guys play.

I kind of like the 5 for 5 rule. You put yourself in their shoes. Hey you’re out of eligibility and maybe you like college and enjoy starting. But you want to keep playing you gotta go to the draft and you’re a undrafted free agent. Who wouldn’t do that then a rule populates that includes your class? Hell I’m going back playing time and play for a championship. Also we wouldn’t have Milam back if it wasn’t for 5-5. Glad we have him another year.

"per sources" is bullshite.

With the amount of made up stuff floating around, any reporter siting another report that said something was told to them about Kiffin "per sources" is being insanely lazy at their job.
