Can you link anything from an LSU coach that suggests that Farrell will start at DE. I went looking and could not find anything. I found quotes from Coach O about the spring depth Chart with no Farrell.
If you have anything, I would love to see it. I just don't see us lining up 300 lb DE even on the strong side. If we were doing that, I don't see any reason to change from our current defense.

How has Kardell progressed? Appears coaches didn’t think he was ready.

I'm ready to watch this core of RB's without CEH.

It think we will severely miss CEH's shiftiness. His broken tackles and jukes were HUGE in the Bama and Clemson games.

Cox is a WILL and Shanahan never starts at LSU at G. Center maybe.

Wow hard to believe Thornton/Anthony/Pettigrew/Kirklin are seniors already. These days it seems like guys have moved on if they haven’t been major contributors until now. I give them credit for sticking around, hopefully they can see more action this year.

I only have my opinion, but it is that Neil Farrell will almost definitely start.

If Emery can do everything else well enough to get on the field you will have plenty of shiftiness...PLUS elite speed.

Hope one of the backs can emerge as a pass catcher.

If you remember Emery Jr. as a senior, he would routinely line up in the slot and embarrass fools. He was also doing that in the under armor game. If I remember correctly I feel like he was the leading receiver in that game or close to it. I still think TDP is the man to beat but hopefully Emery getting the lasik will work wonders for the kid because talent was never the issue.

Appreciate the work. If Baskerville is gonna play Will he's gonna have to get a lot better in coverage. If he starts I think it would almost have to be at mike or sam. Cox would be fine at will though. I also think Jacoby Stevens would be perfect at will. (Most NFL wills played safety at some point anyway.)

You seem to be right

Dont totally understand it, as there is easier playing time at DE. He or Logan will have to still take some DE reps i think

I've got the DL as

DE 1- Thomas/ 2- Cherry or Gaye
DT 1- Shelvin/ 2- Ika
DT 1 - Logan/ 2 - Farrell
DE 1 - McClendon/ 2 - Anthony or Ojulari

First, Farrell is a DT in this system. He's not really explosive off the edge and I just see him more at DT. I'm sure he'll get some snaps at DE, as well, especially when Ika and Shelvin are on the field at the same time.

Second, Coach O has more or less said that TK McClendon was penciled in as one starter at DE, and Thomas coming back means he is the other starter as he's the only player with any production at the position.

Finally, Coach O has raved about BJ Ojulari, and I think we recruited Ali Gaye for a reason. Don't see those guys as starters but they'll be in the mix.

Guard maybe but I think this team is going to be really strong at RB this year Both running the ball and catching the ball out of the backfield. Our receivers will get a ton of respect and safeties and LB's will play back. Gilbert could be a big part of opening up the middle for the running backs.

He's fine physically. He's behind Bradford in reps and technique due to the time he's lost. He'll play a lot but at the time practice stopped Bradford was showing out and the coaches love him. Its a nice problem to have. Two outstanding players pushing each other for playing time.

DE - I remember Coach O talking about how well Anthony has come along and I think he’ll start with TK on the other side. I’d expect Gaye to contribute since he’s only got a year. The rotation there will be interesting.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Ojulari take it over as a Freshman. Our las two past rushing studs were Feshmen who played their three years, Key and Chaisson.

RB - I agree with you that Curry starts but if Emery Jr learns how to pass block, he’ll be RB1 with as many touches as CEH had.

LB - Brooks starts eventually if not right away.

S - Mo Hampton takes over if he’s healthy.

CB - Will be fun. My mix is a little different but they all okay. I could definitely see K Vincent moving to safer (I think that’s where he plays in the NFL) and Flott in the slot and Radar Jones at CB2 (or Ward).

Lots of young players with talent to get on the field. Lots of experienced players that will start in the NFL.

Going to be another fun season if Myles is 80% J Burrow. Gilbert should be a huge weapon for Myles on easy throws.

This is a surprising Veteran group....except 3 RB soph but will be much improved imo. Rosenthal/Thomas will be SO guards. And then you have Stingley and Gilbert that I already consider Vets. Everyone else is a Jr/Sr. I like this team
