If I had to guess with our current roster and schedule Vegas will have us at 3 or 4 losses. I think 3 losses would be a win next year. Now what we don't know is when our QB1 will be healthy and that could play considerably in the first part of the season. We are somewhat front loaded.
This was a huge rebuild. I will be grading harder in 27' and 28' when Lane has his feet under him along with more of his own players.
I am guessing Vegas will have us at an over/under of probably 8 wins with the current roster. I'll go with 8 with fingers crossed for 9. Pretty tough schedule, first year...

With players getting 5 million plus in come cases, college football is a business more than ever. Its very likely LSU, Tennessee, Miami and other top programs now have attys drafting player contracts.

It is very likely Attorneys always have been drafting player contracts.

Has to be better than DJ Chester was

Um, not necessarily.
Sir, you have to start letting it go. Lane is not going back to you guys. It wasn't personal, I think he really liked you little fellas.
Now you can go back to the Ole Miss site...

Gotta have a dual threat in today’s CFB.

Yep Fernando Mendoza and Carson Beck’s tenacious running threat is really what sets those offenses apart.

That is a really good point...

Holy shite it’s a happy day! “Has never slowed a TD in his career” is diabolical to put out there. Someone is about to give up a shite ton of blown coverages that get tackled inside the 10

Lulz, Lane scrapping bottom of the barrel with USC backup.

Not sure that is the bottom of the barrel but that is plan b according to some. We will see. Regardless of if he lands a top QB in his first month, I am not grading him on that. We got him for the long term. If he pulls off a top pull, great. If he pulls out a 5* from USC with 4 years of eligibility, great. If he doesn't, great. He will be judged in later years. But if he does make a great grab this year, this board will totally melt.

You are going to have to help me with this one.
The word is yes. Maybe 2. We will see in the upcoming day or two if this is true.

no he wasnt...he could never win the big games....just like Kiffin cant....LSU didnt learn from the Kelly mistake....and are doing the exact same mistake with Kiffin.

Look at all the coaches that came here with that stigma, Miles and O had never won any championships, conference etc as head coaches. Saban had not even one a bowl game.

You need to try and start letting it go.
Why didn't he try and rent a car from a rental car company?

Next season is gonna be glorious when Lane goes 8-4.

I know you are trolling but 8-4 will probably be the expectation from Vegas. I have looked at the schedule and the holes that need to be filled. We do not have the players yet to do much better. We will see how the portal plays out but by 28' the expectations will climb to playoffs.
I think at this point it should be a huge surprise to any of us if we land him.

“Dear sweet baby Jesus please let him go pro so he doesn’t whip our arse up and down the field again and make us eat crow” is what I’m reading in this thread.

It's a business my man. And that is probably the right business move right now. I know it hurts but if he leaves you will find somebody. It is the nature of college football at the moment.
I literally think we will see more transfers next year than this year. Especially if Ole Miss stumbles.

It would be smart to go pro here. Weak class, loosing your HC, OC and QC. That would be my guess regardless of if he gets another year.
