LSU would do the same to any athlete signing a contract then breaching that contract. Ole Miss is within their rights to seek restitution from both players.

Which other schools have initiated litigation against players for breach after transferring? This is the first I'm hearing of such a move but I know lawsuits in CFB are out of control.
Surely OM isn't the only one to pull this.

I have a feeling Lane returning to Oxford is rattling way more than just their fans. It's rattling their administration and applying even more pressure on Pete and that staff to produce. I expect them to come out playing really tight, trying not to make mistakes. That might allow LSU to take the momentum early and not look back.

No they wouldn't. It against NCAA rules to deny players access to the transfer portal. It is against the law to use NIL contracts as a means to tie any particular athlete to a specific institution.
Plus it is against common sense to needlessly create bulletin board material.
This is why Lane left Ole Miss. They are truly a Mickey Mouse organization.

They were allowed to enter portal and transfer. Dont sign or enter a contract, then expect to be let out of it, or just take the money and run. Always read the fine print. It's a legally binding agreement.
