Two different radio heads believe Ole Miss and 1 other school will boycott the game. But the remaining ones will continue to play unless the SEC bans it. Which is supposedly in conversation.

Idk where they're hearing this or getting the information but this is wild.

The SEC can't afford the amount of litigation that would fall out from it. Which is why I think it's mostly grandstanding.

If LSU leaves the SEC, it will be because LSU agreed to it and it won't be until the 2027 season.

He is 100% saying what the league office is telling him to say.

Meanwhile, governors are on the phone deciding how much they really want their states and schools embroiled in lawsuits for a decade, with Louisiana having sitting members of the Senate Judicial.

It's not a vote to remove LSU. It's a vote to authorize some future expulsion.

Either way, it's horseshite.

OK, I explained this several times to other people, but I’ll try again here. Here is why the SEC will never kick LSU out:

If the SEC kicks LSU out of the conference, LSU would in turn file the most catastrophic and devastating antitrust and breach of contract lawsuit in sports history. It would be a long fight, but LSU would win in the end, because LSU has not broken a single rule to this point. LSU would seek damages as follows, totaling around $4.5 billion:

1. Direct media rights revenue.
2. Collateral economic damages.
3. And this would be the killer.. they would seek treble damages. If the court found that LSU was in fact harmed, under antitrust law, they are required to triple the damages.

Lawyers for the SEC and the other 15 member institutions all know this. Sankey will get a favorable ruling in District Court in Alabama on Wednesday. He’s going to walk in Thursday’s meeting thinking he’s untouchable. LSU needs to walk in there, give them the middle finger, and say see you in court, without making a single concession. Call their bluff, because that’s all it is. Sankey got into a dick swinging contest with Kiffin, lost the first round, and now his ego is bruised. That’s all this really is.

If LSU were to win roughly $4.5 billion in an antitrust lawsuit (which is very realistic), that would mean the end of the SEC. Disney won’t even bail them out at that point.

The only thing that might happen is that the 15 chancellors may vote to give Sankey authority to immediately expel LSU if we roster the "pro players". Basically a vote to draw a red line that they think will make LSU afraid to roster those 2 guys regardless of the TRO

I'm sure Disney is thrilled to hear that Ole Miss is going to boycott a game against us for not breaking any rules.

This is LSU's ultimate leverage in my opinion.

IF, they vote to kick LSU out, the lawsuit from a state AG for irreparable harm will drag the SEC into oblivion, given the $$$$ that are at stake. It would bankrupt the SEC offices in legal fees alone. (Louisiana will continue to afford this given the new economic investment in the state...LOL)

Wonder if negotiations behind the scenes aren't going the SEC's way and they are trying to force leverage on LSU.

Hope LSU demands that Chambliss be ruled ineligible by the SEC for LSU to fully capitulate.

That is your opinion. The opinion of several media members is saying something completely different. Who do you know that should carry some weight for us to listen to your opinion instead of someone with knowledge inside this situation?

He keeps repeating this and forgetting 3 other sec schools rostering “pros”.

He then hammered LSU AD / Pres for not speaking publically to end this. Yet, those 3 have not spoken publically.

It doesn’t have to make sense, they won’t have to justify, and it doesn’t matter if there are obvious ulterior motives.

If 22 votes for (each school has two voting members, but you gotta think they’ll be in lockstep so 11 schools) removing LSU, then it’s done.

Even if those three abstain or vote no, they still have enough votes.

Seems like we’re going to be expelled on Thursday.

No idea what happens next

If the SEC does this, they are ensuring their own destruction. They will not survive the lawsuits that LSU wins against them.

It only makes sense or Sankey wouldn’t be out on this limb.

He better have the votes, because if he doesn’t he will be the one gone on Thursday. There is no way both he and LSU continue to be associated with the SEC after all of this.
