That's why I asked about his contract. Just let the contract expire. But, I still think they will do a lot better than the previous years. Let the year play out.

Ok, so let's go with how they are ranked RIGHT NOW.

Ole Miss - 6th AWAY
Vanderbilt - 14th AWAY
Texas A @ M - 6th or 7th HOME

Oklahoma - 8th AWAY
Alabama - 9th. AWAY

You think Tulane would have beaten one of those teams? We loss 3 of those games by 7 pts or less. Any decent coach would have won those games.

And those games were with a hurt Nussmeier and/or a 2nd string QB.

Where is Clemson in these 5 teams that are in the top 10 (Vanderbilt was top 10 when we played them and ended up 14th, so I counted them).

Did Tulane play 5 top ten teams? With 4 of those teams being away? With average coaching we would have won 3 of those games and ended up 10 - 2.

In these days of college football, the portal is more important than HS recruiting because portal players USUALLY start immediately, while HS recruits USUALLY hit the portal if they don't start immediaely.

I think the best you can do is look for a balance of portal players to HS recruits.
