if I could choose between elite hands with good speed and elite speed with just good hands I am taking elite speed 100%

I see these as two different skillsets.

One is downfield big plays, open the field up type of guy

The other is 3rd down possession guy

Both are needed and we have been fortunate to see these guys play in purple and gold.

i disagree. elite speed with good hands = hilton

hilton doesn’t have good hands
Hilton has average hands at best.

Tyreek Hill is Elite Speed good hands. Routinely at the top of the list for drops and part of that is volume but also he just doesn’t have elite hands.

he is freakishly fast.

Lamarr Chase had the best career.

Chase and Jefferson are 2 NFL HoFers that were on the same team.

Too early to say this. OBJ was headed there until injuries derailed his career. Hope not but the same could happen to Chase/Jetts

i think Odell and Landry clearly effected by the offense they were in, but idk. I am a huuuuuge Landry fan but he maybe has the lowest ceiling of any of them.

Odell and Landry would have put up stupid numbers had they been in the 2019 or 2023 offenses. Putting up the numbers they did with Cam Cameron and Les Miles is pretty amazing.

1) Chase & Justin

2a) Odell & Jarvis
2b) Malik & Thomas

Malik and Thomas drop too many passes for my taste, I think Odell and Jarvis in this offense go insane too

Jarvis Landry is a 5x NFL Pro Bowler

I think he had the most catches in first two NFL seasons until Jefferson hit the league.

But more than that he was also my favorite person to ever play special teams at LSU. I used to love watching him haul arse down the field and blow up an unsuspecting returnman. With his speed, tackling ability, and hands, he could have been an All-Pro safety just as easily.

He did but it was Michael Thomas who broke his record in 2017. Jefferson then broke Thomas' record.

Landry also set the record for most receptions through his first 4 seasons as well with 400. Michael Thomas shattered that record by 70 receptions.

Jefferson/Chase
OBJ/Juice
Nabors/Thomas

It helps out alot to have Joey B throwing to Jefferson and Chase the ball instead of Mettenberger to OBJ and Juice.

1. JJ/ Chase

2. Odell/ Landry

3. Nabors / BT - reason why - drop passes

As others have stated, there are some more duos pretty good.

Dewayne Bowe and Craig “ Buster” Davis is still the only tandem to be selected in the 1st Round of the same draft (2007).
With that being said, I’m still going with Chase/Jefferson as no. 1

OBJ not even c!ose to best of this list. Wasn't even best on his team. At least when referring to college only.

Jarvis Landry had something in him that most guys just don't have. He played every single snap like it was his last.

Best hands I've ever seen.
Excellent blocker
Insane route runner
Ability to just win on almost every 50/50 ball.

Just an incredible player that's only weakness was lack of top end speed.

elite speed alone with only good hands and only good route running won't cut it.
Yep the GOAT NFL receivers excelled at routes and hands with avg speed.
