This year hits hard...all guys that I personally watched. It's great...but it makes me feel OLD.

Maybe.

Blatantly awful officiating still probably would've curbed that.
Bad year year before, no film from 2025....who knows?

re: Is it just me or is this team close?

They're close.

We need better push on the O-line, and a bruiser to compliment Kamara's skill set.

We need the best WR we can get this offseason.

We need more pass rush.

Not a long reach at all to make us competitive again.
Agreed. Tighten up the line, and get him the best WR you can find. There's nobody in the draft next year that will just take the job away from him.

At this point, let them both get significant time to start. You're not going anywhere this year, and you need to see exactly what you have before free agency and the draft next spring.
I haven't seen a QB yet that's worth throwing away all of '25 for.
Used to work at a venue in California that used Legends. As far as standard stadium grub goes, it was pretty good.
If you think you can have a winning season with your other pieces, then you bring in a vet and give your rook a year to sit and develop.

However, Saints Talk overwhelmingly believes this year's a 'tank' year. If that's really the case, which is debatable, then you save your money and ride with what you have.
The real test will be what happens between his ears with an enormous playbook and pro-level athletes competing against him. The physical tools are definitely already present.
Saints looking for a wildcard to line up in different spots. Could be a good get.
Probably not a popular opinion, but I don't want the Sanders circus anywhere near New Orleans. I just can't help but think it would wind up looking a lot like the football version of the Ball family.

If he finds the right fit, I fully expect a lot of, "Who is this kid, and where'd he come from?!"
He won't be there, and even as much love as I have for my Tigers, Will had WAAAAY too many pre-snap penalties for my liking.
Holy crap, man....the WORST FA signing EVER? That's got to be some hyperbole, because it's not nearly that bad.
I'm in the minority that doesn't hate it. Don't shoot me, either.
If I can only pick one....

A defense that can defend a dual-threat QB.

Could’ve had it week 1, wouldn’t have mattered. We simply didn’t have the personnel this year, it is what it is.

So no, not too late. Finish strong, haul in the monster class, keep building for the future.

-Well looky here....a positive outlook. Thanks for that!
Depends on which Winston shows up. I've seen him look like a world champ, and I've also seen him unable to connect on anything that could be labeled a pro QB throw.
You could read that in the team's statement. Mickey would've kept him, but Gayle was smart enough to know that something had to give.
All about that system. An elect few can thrive under anybody's scheme. Luckily, Russ found a new playbook that works for his skill set.
It'd go a long way to boost morale among the fans. Nothing short of a playoff run will stop people from hating Derek Carr and Dennis Allen, though.

Lots of Saints fans in North Carolina?

I didn’t know that.

Maybe those fans you saw in the stadium were fans from Louisiana that traveled to the game?

Some are travelers, sure. Lots of transplants over here too, though.
I'm in Charlotte. Awful lot of black and gold in the stands when the Saints are in town. Of course, this town is FULL of transplants.
Disappointing end to what started as a great story. Personally, I don't think he'll ever be what he was before.

re: Drew weighs in on OC search

Good interview. I miss Drew, and I wish there was something he could do in an official capacity to help us from the sidelines. He's so busy in an entrepreneurial capacity though...not sure he'd even have the time or the desire.

re: Reaction to a 1st rd WR

I'd be pretty disappointed. Ramcyk is down, Penning wound up on the bench, and we get no pass rush from our D-Line.

Basically, Ray Charles and Helen Keller could see that we need help on both lines before we go big on anything like a WR.

Why wouldn’t he just stay in Buffalo as their OC?

This. More opportunity for immediate success in his current situation. I love the Saints, but facts are facts.
It'd be a great day for Saints fans. Of course, the replacement would have to be a marked improvement. There's definitely some good candidates available this year; more than usual.
