More importantly I do believe we are now currently rated the number 1 recruiting class for the late summer recruiting cycle

I like the story but I want the best players to play, if that’s Dylan cool, if it’s not….. Geaux tigers

Agreed. I want Dylan to play and reward those that have stayed loyal for so many years. Send a message and make an example of his story. Don’t want to bring in some rando and plug him in over him. Based on the other guys career stats. He will be a rotational player that can give our guys breaks when needed. Shouldn’t be a threat to take DCs reps

Why would Pyburn return to LSU to be a back up?

Undrafted rookies are always a long shot to make the active roster. Practice squad players make less than $250K. I’m sure it’s a backup plan in case he doesn’t make the active roster.

Is this guy a run stuffing DE? Prefer Pyburn all else being equal. Familiar with the defense, etc

He’s way better than Pyburn. You have no clue what youre talking about

How do you know?

He started 6 games in 4 years. I'll take Pyburn based on his

-SEC experience
-Familiarity with LSU & Blake's defense
-Great lockeroom guy who's tight with Whit our defensive leader and compliments Prince-U and Ross very well.

I'd think JP is a plug n play starter opposite of Prince and Ross subs in

Apparently was part of a deep rotation at DE at ND. Locker room guy as well. And played in the national title game two years ago. Had an injury that nagged him last year and didn’t go to combine

Yeah, I joined TD nearly 20 years ago (hard to believe…) right before the 07 NCG when I was in HS, gave up my OSU fandom after enrolling at ND. Username is what it is at this point but has definitely caused some confusion on the MSB the past 15+ years (ironically, Marcus Freeman started at LB for OSU in that game against LSU, so a bit full circle).

I virtually never post on the Rant (mostly on the MSB and occasionally on the OT, neither of which are really LSU boards, more like national boards that just so happen to be on an LSU site) but figured I’d chime in on this one since I’ve watched a lot of Junior T.

Anyway, I think you guys will like him a lot. One other thing I didn’t mention is he tore his pec at ND’s Pro Day, so with that plus the combo of him not being in any camp and having to learn a brand new system, it could take him until October to really get into the swing both physically and mentally, but I think he’ll be very solid for you once he does.

College football in America is like warfare. It takes time to adapt to new methods in warfare. LSU was caught flat a little bit flat footed by the Wild West era of infinite transfers and infinite money. We didn’t start all this bullshite but mark my words we are going to finish it. It just means more to us dammit. We ain’t frickin playing.
