He’ll try to take Scott Woodward to his fishing hole near his camp.
Posted on 10/7/21 at 9:49 am to ColdTurkey
He's going to try to go to Alabama and coach their DL and recruit the frick out of South Louisiana as revenge.
If I'm Woodward, during buyout negotiation (he won't get 100% of buyout so there will be negotiation), I might try to throw in a non-compete for a few years for SEC teams within a certain radius (Tuscaloosa/College Station) and give him a bit more money.

I haven’t read this entire thread but from the beginning it seems similar to Poli board posts from a year ago with libs speculating if Trump would leave office peacefully or have to be removed.
ETA - please don’t read this as me saying EO = DJT! ??

It is not like he won't expect it. All coaches are hired to be fired. He knows it will come.

Apparently you do care.....you want it, you would love to see him relapse and f his life up because he made a few of your weekends less than thoroughly entertaining.
I find most on this board and of the Tiger faithful to be really shallow. I want Orgeron gone too but I don't go around disguising my sick hope that he has a spectacular self destructive fall like some here do. When he gets fired, he will have a soft 7-8 figure cushion to ease his fall.
He will continue to live better than 99.6% of this board

He's going to take as many people down with him as possible. Hell, he'll probably try to take the entire athletic department down with him.

FWIW, I remember The Hat being interviewed after his firing. The reporter asked whether he would watch the upcoming LSU game (later in the season, not that same week). As usual, it took Les 5 minutes to reach an answer, but he basically said, "It's Saturday night, I'm in Louisiana, and LSU is playing--of course I'll be watching."
Clearly there were some skeletons still in the closet at that point, but Les handled the question perfectly--a touch of nostalgia/wistfulness but ultimately professional.
All of that to say I would not expect the same level of decorum from a fired shrimp boat captain.

Whether he was joking or not, you don't say what he said when you're the face of a multimillion dollar football program at a top destination.
He WAS joking and you know it. Too much is being made of that comment because we all want him gone. It was a harmless jab.

Depends on how much $$ he leaves with. I’m sure he’d be happy with a fat check so he could chase poon and specs.

meh, from everything we've heard and see on the field, he's already come to terms with this.

and sat on his couch for a year until Les called him.
He wanted to be a HC and didn't want to just accept a DL coach position somewhere else. So he waited a years to see if that opportunity came. Once it didn't, he accepted the LSU DL coach job that was open. He had enough money to sit out of coaching for a year in hopes of landing a HC rather than taking a "demotion". So I don't blame him for doing so.
If/when LSU fires him he'll probably first try hard to land a P5 HC job. Yes, he may have flamed out here and failed to meet LSU's expectations (which are as high as any in the country)...but he DOES have a resume with success at LSU that another, lower tier P5 school may find attractive.
For LSU it is national championship or bust. But for a school like, Miami, those expectations aren't there now. The school sits in arguably the most concentrated area of college football talent in the country. A great recruiter may be what the program needs...in a much less difficult conference than the SEC. Just because he wasn't good enough at LSU doesn't mean he may be good enough at a different school, with much lower expectations (though, admittedly, the list of such schools that may actually consider hiring him is probably pretty small).
Hell, Miami might actually be a good spot for him. When you look at the recruiting rankings you're seeing a ton of local talent going to schools not named Miami. What turned Miami from a perennial loser to a national powerhouse was Schnellenberger's efforts to get every great player in the Miami metro area to attend the school. For the last 10 years or so they haven't had a great recruiter as HC...and it has showed.

Hopefully they have that big hulking trooper that's always flanking him there to keep his dumbass subdued.

Good point.
Even if he doesn't get the HC job there (hey, it could happen) he'd probably go back in a heartbeat as an assistant.
Or might join his buddy Lane at Ole Miss.
