1. Big Ten Champion is the No. 1 seed
2. If Georgia wins, Georgia is the No. 2 seed.
If Alabama and Texas Tech win, Texas Tech is the No. 2 seed
3. If Texas Tech wins, they will be the No. 3 seed
4. Could see Alabama here if Alabama wins.
Maybe. I think it depends on how much Indiana loses by.
Last year, Texas was 2 and Penn State was 3 entering CCG Saturday. UGA was 5.
After those teams lost, they fell only one spot to 3 and 4 respectively, while UGA moved up to 2.
Does a 2 loss Alabama jump over a 1 loss Indiana?

Not a shot at the Horns. Just saying they are more than good enough to be sitting where Texas Tech is.
Are they though?
Yes, when Arch is at his best they are very good.
He was not at his best for much of this year. Thus the slow start and struggles against State and Kentucky plus the loss at Florida.
I don't think the conference explains a lot of Arch's misfires thru midseason.

Good thing Alabama fans have assured us that he sucks and they'd never hire him.
Yes, I've been assured by Bama fans that Greg Byrne would never hire Kiffin because of past history and present unacceptable behavior that makes him an unacceptable candidate.
As Bama fans are noble, trustworthy souls whose word is their bond, I take this to the bank as an ironclad guarantee they would never poach Kiffin.

Do you even Colonel Reb Is Crying?
What's great about this song is that Coach O in 2025 is STILL ripping his shirt off and making news.

Y'all would have been jumping for joy if you landed Lane.

Just noticed Cajun Napoleon surfaced today to troll Ole Miss.
We got governors going at it on Twitter.

Meh.
Just numb and jaded by politics. I used to get all worked up about defending conservative values long ago when I was younger. Both sides suck and better to just live your life as most people do.

I'd rather Ole Miss "steal" Weis Jr and LSU just go get Kendal Briles
I'm with you though I can only imagine the response if we pair up Kiffin with a member of the Briles family.
Briles was Kiffin's first OC at FAU. Gotta think he'll be a head coach somewhere soon.

What is the good reason a boss would do that rather than keeping them around for the next 2 weeks?
Not unheard of when you leave to go work for a competitor.
I've worked places where if you went to a competitor you had to clean out your desk that day and forego the two weeks.
I don't blame the Ole Miss AD for doing what he did considering where Lane bolted to.
I did hear Jimbo Fisher state on his radio show this week that Lane had no choice but to tell Ole Miss he was interviewing because to not do so would have opened him up to being fired for cause since notification is usually required by the contract. Basically, he couldn't hide his flirtation with LSU unless he asked LSU to wait until after the CFP to have an interview.
All of this is exactly why the NFL has the rules they have in place about when interviews can take place, especially around playoff time. College has no such rules. This will keep happening. The market always finds a way.

Charlie Weiss Jr
are you under the impression that Lane couldn't easily find a replacement to run Lane's plays and schemes?
This kinda reminds me of when Phil Knight figured out that Bellotti was getting fed plays by Chip Kelly, who was then at New Hampshire. Phil basically made Bellotti bring Kelly on board and the rest was history.
Point being, is Weiss really the mad genius behind the offense or just the guy with the cookbook that was handed to him?
You want the guy dreaming up new recipes or do you want the sous chef?

I don't think you have a remote clue about Alabama's hiring and firing practices.
The era of the CFP and NIL is not analogous to the world of DuBose, Fran and Shula.
Expectations are higher now.

the other 3 left for other jobs(all with 10 win seasons when they left).
Yup, they left for Tampa (NFL), Kentucky and Texas A&M. Almost like they knew they weren't meeting expectations and got out while they could. Shula and DuBose stayed too long and got fired the year after their 10 win season.
Expectations have always been high at Bama. They are even higher now relative to 20 years ago. The success of the SEC as a whole (and yes, Bama leads the way there) has created much higher expectations for all the teams with the means to spend big.

This.
And you would think that everything Trump has done thus far proves that a great many people across the nation don't really give two shits about morality or ethics if they get the result they want or feel like they are "owning" the other side.
Lane can grab whatever pussy he wants or shoot a dog in the middle of Chimes Street.
Half of y'all wouldn't give a shite if Trump did. I didn't vote for the guy but he has done us all a service by exposing just how many folks don't give two shits about morality if the ends justify the means.
