I could See him taking a DL coaching job somewhere and immediately getting in trouble for calling our DL who aren’t in the transfer portal.

Aside from the fishing hole gaffe this week, how many instances of behavioral malfesiance do you think LSU has on O over the past 5 years? I'd say a metric frick-ton, certainly enough to invalidate the Moral Turpitude clause that's no doubt in the contract he signed.
They'll say you can either take this re-negotiated number, or we fire you for cause, you get nothing and good luck outspending us in a court of law when you sue. Neither side wants the latter.

Why should Coach O be upset or depressed about anything? I would have to think that he must’ve pretty well resigned himself to the fact that he was going to be a D line coach for the rest of his life. The man goes from DL coach to interim coach to head coach to multi millionaire in just a few short years.
If he should be released, all he’s gonna have to worry about is how do I spend my $150,000 check I will get from LSU every month for the next few years.

O is not going from the pinnacle of Power 5 to be a HC of a lower tier Power 5 institution. His ego won't take that, not that I think anyone will higher him as HC again. Same issue having to hire excellent coordinators, etc to be successful....and retain coordinators for multiple seasons which is near impossible for him. Just think he shite on Aranda's D after 15-0 and how many opponents are running 3 man fronts due to the offenses they face.
