GTFO Tommy Hodson is on it before Bert or Y.A.,

Lighten up. Bertram was our first AA QB and finished 4th in the Hesiman. Tommy was never an AA. And Yelberton made all-SEC and played both ways here - different era.

Hodson was 4X all-SEC. He's in the discussion.

I wonder how many if any other SEC players have accomplished that? Gotta be a pretty rare feat.

Burrow, Daniels, Jamarcus, Davey... Jones was great but in a completely non air attack era, but he was the #2 pick in the NFL draft. It would be interesting to imagine how he could have done in the computer game passing era we are in today.

No. Matt Mauck was a game manager, who didn't make too many mistakes. He played on an exceptionally good team under a great coach.

Jayden Daniels is a phenomenal player, playing with maybe a bottom 5 defense. He had a game with 414 yds passing with 4 TDs, and 101 yds rushing with 2 TDs. This is all same game. LSU scored 49 points; LSU lost.

Do you put Mauck ahead of Daniels, because 2003 won the title?

Here's Bertram as a sophomore in 1970 throwing a 60 yd rope to Andy Hamilton. Ol' boy could chunk it.

In the same vein, Hodson threw for 438 yds and 4 TDs vs UTenn in '89. And we lost.
