And because he gave it everything he had when he stepped on the field. He also would have been a much better QB under anyone else but Les Miles could have fricked up Tom Brady in his prime. Les was literally the QB killer. Best defensive player for every opponent we ever faced.

For younger fans: Y.A. Tittle was inducted in the NFL in 1971. He was the first professional football player featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated. He belongs there without question.

Also: Mike Hillman was an underrated QB. I think better than a few mentioned above.
