Both Kinchens were legit. Todd was all-state in Football, Basketball, Baseball AND Track (high jump) in High School. Prob would've been all-state in Tennis and Golf if there was any time left in the day.

What about Cecil Collins? The guy was 205lbs and ran with the power of a 230lb back. I know he ended up as a flash in the pan but to this day I’ve never seen a back that size run with that much power. He was also incredibly balanced and could break away as well. We’ve had a lot of great backs here but aside from Buga I don’t think anyone had me on the edge of my seat more than Collins anytime he touched the ball.

I'd remove Stingley, who is a great player but not a physical freak. I would add Mingo and Billy Cannon.

You’d remove Stingley but not a guy who hasn’t played a snap for LSU (Arik Gilbert). That being said..I think Arik will be on the short list when his LSU career is over.

I thought Stingley had a crazy vertical with 4.4 speed at 6-2 that’s pretty freaky

Sammy Davis? Really? I mean, he could sing and dance pretty good as part of the Rat Pack, but I didn’t find him to be much of a physical specimen.

You’re thinking of Sammy Davis Jr..obviously his father was a great LSU talent

But Sammy Martin was even better

Not 100% the best but Donte Jackson was certainly the most underutilized athlete in recent history

I didn’t see anyone mention Troy Twillie
He was no doubt one of the most athletic football players at LSU.

Honey Badger for sure

The Honey Badger was above average for sure, but he was not a freak physically. His mind and heart were freakish beyond compare.

I thought it read “Freakishly Athletic FB” at first, so I was thinking Fullbacks, and those three words don’t go together. Anyway, it reminded me of seeing Robert Tyler knock out 2 dudes in a street fight after... Independence Bowl I think. Those poor dudes. No chance.

I watched 6’0” Corey Webster do 360s and windmills on the basketball court in high school.
That is the definition of freak athlete.
