Yea, I love Billy Cannon and he deserves to be on this list, but it always cracks me up when somebody throws out the 9.5 100M. I think it's usually an honest mistake as they are trying to convey that he 'supposedly' ran a 9.5 100 yards (which may be true).

The dude was a ridiculous athlete. Anyone who has seen him play multiple sports would agree. And yes, he was a great QB as well.

I heard alot of crazy stories about Tim Pope, don’t think he ever played because...you know..prison. One of the funniest was that when the police chief was asked about how he knew the criminal who got away was pope replied “Nobody else in this town can run that fast.” Lol
