I remember there was talk that if all the coaches didn’t coach for the CFP Ole Piss was going to lose there CFP bid.
Also, at one point in the game last night the announcer stated that if Weis would not have been allowed to coach through the CFP then we wasn’t going to come to LSU.
Any truth to any of this?

Not sure how anybody associated with LSU would know what Ole Miss “intends” to do. As for Weis, a condition on his coming to LSU was that he be allowed to coach til the end. Lane can’t force him to stop now, but of course Ole Miss could. I think this tampering stuff is just internet fodder.

Its a shitty situation, but barring the ncaa (1) closing the portal until after the playoffs and (2) putting a temp halt on all recruiting activity until then...
Either a. Ole Miss gets screwed or b. LSU gets screwed.
This is a ripple effect too. You lose momentum in year 1 and you might not get it back.

Has OM officially signed the contracts of all the former coaches and staff not retained? When did their contracts officially end with LSU. Not a single reason for any of them to be on the sidelines for Ole Miss throughout the playoffs.

I know they have been. I would just read the language of their contract with LSU to see when termination began. If Ole Miss is going to pull these stunts, then LSU should do the same.
