We should not have a problem with them. I’m glad we drew them in our first SEC game. I think outside of Vandy they are the worst SEC team

State owns O. They have beat him twice as LSU coach which is unacceptable.

Yes they are. But they were really bad last year too.
LSU SHOULD win this game easily.
But Leach will have something dialed up to try and make our LBs and safties look like fools.
If they don’t learn to cover crossing routes and cover the TE this week, it could be a repeat of last year.

I’m sure State will be up for the game, as they always are. But I do believe our guys are the more talented team. I really like how we did show improvement against what was SUPPOSED to be a better opponent than we saw in week 2.
Defense looks like it’s getting things together. Stingley looked like his old self for the first time in a while. Very encouraging.
Just go into Starkville and secure the victory- and continue taking things one week at a time. If our guys give their best, they will be a very tough out- for anyone.

So it doesn’t concern you at all that while it has been better, the defense is still blowing coverages and giving up big passing plays? Call it a hunch but pretty sure Miss St is gonna throw the football a little.

Yes they are a bad team but they will score some points on our tigers. It appears that the old cliché of teams winning Championships with a really good defense are over. Really good offensive teams seem to be out in front now. Mississippi State will bring a huge challenge to our defense. By the same token I think our offense will score a lot of points.
