In the late 70’s these were wide open an of course became a favorite place to smoke weed. I’d bet 25% of the student body went through them at some point!

Go the the Iak Grove Memorial right behind the union.
Show them the underground network of tunnels that run all over campus. Kids love that idea. Can’t Go in them anymore.
Sugar kettle by the stadium- first granulated sugar and made LSU a lot of money 150 yrs.ago.
Louisiana Room in the library.
Natural Science Museum- very corny but well known
Indian mounds of course.
If you want a real blast from the past, go down Highland to Der Winerschnizel ! That place has survived for over 50 yesrs!!

Pros back then always had money games lined up in every town in order to make some real money. The pro-am games the day before the tournament starts grew out of that.

Games started at 8 for the longest time. Changed about 73 I think. (Our late final scores missed the east coast deadlines, so they moved to 7.) So games in Oct November were cool.
No school colors. But you wore ribbons and badges etc and corsages for the ladies, all in purple and gold.

That’s about what it looked like, but you never know when also adding muscle. Probably lost 60 lbs fat and gained 20 in muscle.
