A bit of extra history.
In a play on the word, as well as LSU Tiger Stadium is loud, the nickname was originally Deaf Valley. That got changed by writers primarily, who couldn’t handle the political incorrectness.
In fact, there used to be a Shell Station 1 block from campus named Deaf Valley Shell.

LSU vs Alabama when Shaun Alexander was a freshman.
They ran the ball down our throat, Alexander college debut, he ran for over 200 yds.
All I remember is Alabama coming down the field sounded like a herd of buffaloes stampeding through the Great Plains, with nothing to slow them down.

Opening game of 1958 season. Vs Hardin-Simmons.
I was 6. I don’t remember much of the game although I remember Billy Cannon and Johnny Robinson.
I do, though, remember walking through the portal of the southeast upper section and seeing Tiger Stadium, at night, under the lights and a sea of the most beautiful green ever. It’s never left me.

They don’t use missles. They use “kinetic “ weapons. These make a fireball when they strike. They carry no war head. Fire alone may or may not kill everyone. They also usually leave the vessel intact, but on fire.
Way cheaper to use than missiles, no launch fireball, can be delivered from long distances and guided into target.
