Jennings will play mediocre and Miles stays with him all season. That'll show the fans who is boss!

3 pages in and not one person has given DJ Chark the recognition he deserves. He's making a very strong push for the WR2 position.
Chark is a Dural clone, but no way is he a serious push for the #2 spot.
Dupre will become a household name this fall.

And there are plenty of QBs with zero NFL potential who can successfully lead an offense in college.
No reason to rule out the possibility for Jennings.
I didn't.

well we learned how bad last year that jennings has to play to be taken off the field. 2 int's and a fumble in 4 possessions.

Everyone does but being realistic most fans know we will disappoint at the qb position. That will cost us 3 or 4 loses no matter if we have a NFL player at each position.
Naw. I have yet to see two consecutive bad years at QB so I don't feel the same way as the masses. They've found some way around it, and plus every other position on offense is loaded. I don't think we'll experience a drop off in defense either. I'd expect more pressure on the QB as well.

they put him out on the field against kentucky though. and bama for one play.
He only saw a few plays against Kentucky which was probably due to the lack of reps was able to get because of the ankle sprain. So now we want to play a QB who already was inexperienced & had limited knowledge of the playbook, in games with limited reps at practice & a high ankle sprain? My goodness, do some of you realize how stupid you sound at times?

Nobody really knows what the extent of the injury was or whether Harris aggravated it at any point after Auburn.
High ankle sprains are a bitch.

This. They seriously hamper mobility & only heal up completely after 6-8 weeks of rest. Trying to play football on a high ankle only prevents the sprain from healing properly. Players who get them are still bothered by the sprain even after missing several games.

Not surprising at all that Miles will continue to justify starting Jennings no matter what. You bozos that are expecting for LSU to compete for the SEC this year are insane. Same coach, same QB, same results. Minimum 4 losses.
With a good enough defense we won the SEC with JJ throwing for 100 a game (on his good days).
EDT: That being said, don't get me wrong. I do want improved play from the QB.

Translation: He handed the ball off right side better.

bullshite. Mett had 12 tds-7 ints in 2012. Anyone that says after 2012 they expected the 2013 offense is fricking lying. Nothing in 2012 led anyone to believe we would have the 2nd best offense in lsu history in 2013
frickING NOTHING about Jennings in '14 made you think that. NOTHING.

Marginally better QB play and this team will go far. In games Jennings starts, LSU is undefeated when he posts a QBR of 107 or better.
I repeat, 107 QBR. That's abysmal and yet, its all we need.

The stats are the tail of 2 games.
He looked bad against Auburn, and good against Miss St.
That's all you know about Harris. 1 game he looked great, and 1 game he looked like shite. That in conference
I can't really say that Jennings looked great in ANY game.
Do you know Jennings never scored more than 1 td in any SEC game?
If you watched the Miss St Game it was painfully obvious who was better int hat game.
If you watched the New Mexico State game it was insultingly obvious. As far as the Auburn game they both played pretty shitty.

Not that it makes a difference, but aTm blows both of your theories.

Depends on what you want out of your QB. He looked damn good and did what he was asked to do against A&M. I'd rather LSU ran that offense than tried to run the pro style if he's going to be the guy.

Tell me you're joking. Please!!!
He's not, and he's right. Match JJ's 2009 season up with other young first year starters, hell, just match it up with previous LSU QBs. Running game and OL were beyond horrid, but don't forget that we are primarily a running team, so he had to play above and beyond.
In 2011, we played the best defense of this century twice, and he looked awful the second time. UGA was the #3 ranked defense and he looked very bad, but that was it. There was nothing wrong with his passing or rushing in any other game that year.
IMO, doesn't matter who starts, but I do know that if it is indeed Jennings, he will play better than last year.

1. he didn't score 2 TDs against A&M threw for 1 ran for 0
2. he looked good running in that game, but still was terrible throwing the ball 12/21 107 yards 1:1 TD:INT. Thats pretty abysmal.
as JJ said, that may be the best offense to Run of AJ is the QB. BUT THERE IS NO WAY HARRIS CAN"T RUN THAT OFFENSE.
We could train a chimp to run that offense. not only that but harris is faster than AJ.

Damn, could have sworn he rushed for one as well.
ETA: 0 Rush TDs on the season.
Swing and a miss

I do agree with this. but why put him on the field at all if he was injured? seems pretty silly IMO
