Nothing in 2012 led anyone to believe we would have the 2nd best offense in lsu history in 2013.

I think what he's saying is there was more reason to expect a halfway decent or successful offense going into 2013 than there is going into this season (if that isn't what he's saying, it's what I'm saying). I don't see how you could debate that.

Because of 1 game against a bama secondary that got shredded more than once in 2012? Nothing in 2012 showed we were gonna go crazy and have 1 of the best offenses in lsu history in 2013. Mett had 12 tds passes in 2012 with a qb rating only 10 points higher than Jennings' qb rating in 2014. People are using revisionist history with that.

All I'm saying is Mett showed a lot more physical ability and promise in 2012 than Jennings did in 2014. Say whatever you want about his QBR only being 10 points higher. Anyone with eyes saw that Mett COULD be good and could be the leader of an at least competent offense. Jennings has not shown that.

The amazing thing is why anyone pays any attention to what Les says, regardless of the subject. How many times last year did we hear that BH was going to see playing time? How many times did it happen?

Don't let meaningless Spring Practice sound clips get to you. When the 2015 season gets here, AJ will be starting. We all know its going to happen.

2010 didn't have a good ole miss, miss st, arkansas etc etc in the sec

Auburn and UF were better, Arkansas went to the sugar bowl. If not for chavis d collapsing against arky, we play tOSU in the sugar bowl.

Harris him self said he was battling a high ankle sprain half the season. That's prob why he didn't play.

Amen.

The problem here is that people, specifically some ranters thought that Jennings sucked last year. They also felt entitled to see Harris prove on the field that he was "better" than Jennings. Fans are not entitled to anything, if they don't like the product on the field, they can quit watching.

I personally want every member of the team who steps on the field to do better, each and every down. The coaches know who the best players are- not anyone on this fricking website.

I can remember a time in the 2013 season when this board was lit up with rave reviews about Jennings, and how great he would be. I had not seen him in High School, so I didn't know what to think.

What a difference seeing actual on the field performance can do to perception. I saw a few sparks from Harris last season, but what if he flops also? Gonna be pretty sad with all the talent coming together on this team, should that happen. Crossing fingers.

Anybody that disputes this is an idiot.
You could see it in Mett.....I have seen nothing......absolutely nothing.....did I say nothing?....that gives me any hope in AJ this next year. Can he get better? Of course but when you're starting from below scratch there is no where to go but up.

And there are plenty of QBs with zero NFL potential who can successfully lead an offense in college.

No reason to rule out the possibility for Jennings.

So every team's weaknesses improve except LSU'S?

No. I'm saying that we need A LOT of improvement on offense, and as we do that other teams are getting better too. The other poster was basically saying all of those games were automatic wins because they all suck--like we were the ONLY team that had a chance to improve, which is silly.

I don't really think that it can be argued that Arkansas, LSU, and UT should be the most improved in the conf. next year.

Bull shite. Mett had 12 tds-7 ints in 2012. Anyone that says after 2012 they expected the 2013 offense is fricking lying. Nothing in 2012 led anyone to believe we would have the 2nd best offense in lsu history in 2013.

I already clarified by saying no I didn't expect to see the historic numbers we put up, but the way we moved the ball and scored more often, based on specific performances by select positions in real games that we all saw the year before, did not surprise me. We've had this chat. Try reading.

Les Miles and his staff have sabotaged Harris. They set him up for failure last season by not allowing enough game time experience before throwing him to the wolves in auburn. And even in that game Harris was better than Anthony Jordan Jefferson Jr. I can't take another season of Jennings.

Awesome. Hope he's turned a corner. I don't care who the starter is. Just hope they do what is asked of them.
