I CAN see LF7 going for those numbers this year.

And as far as AJ, I would be as optimistic as you if I had a shred of evidence to go on. If he starts then I hope you're right and I'm gonna be in his corner 1000 percent. As a fan, I remain, let's just say, "hopefully skeptical."

You're a better fan than most Ranters.

And it's true than Jennings hasn't shown much to get excited about.

I simply choose to believe that 1) the general rule is that QBs aren't typically adequately developed to the point of leading an offense until their junior year, 2) Every QB to start a game for LSU has experienced growth throughout their career, 3) Every time LSU has returned a previous starting QB (not due to injury), we have recorded at least 10 wins, and 4) Cameron is just about the best coach we could have in terms of QB development.

Jennings returns all of his receiving targets from 2014, each of whom have an additional year to develop chemistry and an additional year of Moffittization, Fournette is still in the backfield, Vadal, Pocic, and Hawkins are going to bulldoze some fools this year, and despite the loss of Chavis, the defense will start the season in 2014 midseason form.

If Jennings can hit 3-4 passes that he missed last year, we're gold.

No he doesn't, he doesn't have half the arm that Harris has.

vs. Conference Teams Harris was:

9 24 198 37.5 8.25 52 2 2 1 117.6 12 70 5.8 32 0

vs. Conference Teams Jennings was:

75 156 883 48.1 5.66 49 5 4 15 101.1 73 214 2.9 36 0

I know Jennings got to play more, but their stats in SEC play on the average didn't show that one shined and one sucked to the point that it's clear, to this point in time, who should be starting and who shouldn't.

Harris admitted he had an injury at Aub, that held him back and that he didn't know all the plays. Hopefully, when he becomes totally comfortable with the mental part of playing QB in the SEC, his physical skills will be even more on display and he will be more successful.

Thank you. Its such a stupid argument. One is 6-4 with a pro arm and dramatically improved from the first six games to the last six games. The other looks exactly the same as the Iowa bowl game. I don't think the kid has the tools to improve. Its just an opinion, but I have seen enough football w/ half of his career completed to form the opinion.

I am expecting BOTH AJ and BH to improve for the 2015 season. Whether that improvement is enough to get our passing game to improve markedly, I do not know. But I am willing to bet our passing game does two things in 2015: (1) average more yards per game than in 2014, and (2) have a higher completion average as compared to 2014. Our young receivers, who were not exactly stellar in 2014, should also improve.

I am looking forward to 2015 to see how it all plays out.

To be fair who thinks our offense will be worse than last year? It's impossible for our passing offense to be worse than last year

Well, um, we lost Collins on OL. We were actually able to run most of the time last year even though the entire universe knew were going to run.

If we are unable to do that this year, then yeah, our offense could be A LOT frickING WORSE than last year.

Anyone remotely capable of evaluating QBs knows that AJ is not going to end up good. He may end up not as shitty, but "good" aint in the cards. Note, I said "good", not great.

Good is a pipe dream. Great is just funny

Miles will start the qb he believes will give LSU their best chance to win. Fans that think he chooses qbs for any other reason are dumb as shite.

As if what you posted was common sense.

aTm will be improved. The walking heart-attack will make it better because they have only up to go. The also have a QB who is entering his second year as starter...So using your own words he will be much improved

Auburn will now have a defense. We scored 7 on them--all thanks to Harris btw-- when they were supposedly the worst defense in the league beside aTm.

Then we have away at both Ole Piss and Bama. That right there could be 4 losses ie a rerun of this past season

Jennings was the worst SEC qb in 2014. If Harris couldn't get on the field in a 17-0 shut out then I'm afraid we won't see him much this year either. Hope I'm wrong

Auburn's defense will be improved and they'll still be able to score.
State is on the road and Dak is a senior coming off a heisman bid.
Florida's D will still be tough and their offense will be better
USCe screams trap game. The annual "I need to coach better," game.

So every team's weaknesses improve except LSU'S?

Here's where you're wrong. After Mett made Bama's defense look silly in 2012 I think most fans saw just how good we could be with more time. The 2013 offense didn't surprise me.

bullshite. Mett had 12 tds-7 ints in 2012. Anyone that says after 2012 they expected the 2013 offense is fricking lying. Nothing in 2012 led anyone to believe we would have the 2nd best offense in lsu history in 2013.

Yeah. Miles' qb rotation was detrimental last year. If Jennings does start this year and falters we are back where we started. A qb with very little meaningful experience.
