McMahon will be here for a while, get used to it. Let him get his recruits. Right now the only thing our players care about is NIL. They couldn't care less about losing last night. I trust McMahon and excited to see who he brings in for next year, since theyll be HIS recruits. #TrustMcMahon

He’s also building a mansion in my neighborhood. He’s in for the long haul.

Imagine if we had a coach that was good at that

Then the future looks stale at best.

Trust his teams to play inconsistently.

Seems like every time I watched, they were so hot and cold. So I didn't watch. No energy / excitement.

Luckily for us Tiger fans, women's basketball and baseball more than make up for this.

Hannagrif said on the radio that MM has been turning down these resources as much as possible. He seems to be trying to use old tactics for recruiting and he'll fall behind if he doesn't embrace help and fundraising. He'll get it eventually.

I'm not a McMahon hater. I don't come on the rant and trash him after every loss but the jury is still out on McMahon.

When hired, he was handed a huge shite sandwich. Year one was a mulligan and I consider this season as Year one but he's losing a lot and it remains to be seen if he can turn it around. Next year, Year two, needs to show significant improvement and consistency in order to get another year.

If true, we won’t win anything with this dude.

We should definitely wait for him to figure it out instead of hiring someone that knows what they are doing.

It’s going to take him a good five years to clean up the mess left by Wade. Tiger fans will just have to be patient.

I don't know if that is true or not. But if it is you may as well cut bait now.

Recruiting and roster building at the major conf. level is a cutthroat business. You better be willing to bend rules, toe right up to the line of "ethical", and deal with shady "agents", "runners", "uncles" who ALL have their hands out for payments...because that is the landscape of big time recruiting. If you don't want to engage in that it is completely ok. I understand why many coaches wouldn't. But that is what it takes to be successful in the SEC.

As far as resources go, it's not as if big time players didn't have their hands out before NIL became legal. Big time money was still being exchanged. It just wasn't out in the open. And I promise you Wade wasn't personally bankrolling the whole operation. He had boosters willing to pay. Those boosters didn't just suddenly disappear. They'll pay.

Trent Johnson didn't want to get into the dirty underbelly of major conf. recruiting. Again, that's ok. But his dismal record at LSU after Brady's core left showed you the result of not getting in the recruiting mix. So if McMahon doesn't have the appetite to get into the mud of roster building then he is better suited for a mid-major job because the bloody recruiting battles aren't going away.

Are you implying that the current team is not his recruits? I’ve been told millions of times on here that “He had to start from scratch” and “Had no scholarship players when he started” and that’s why we suck.

I think he will be here until the end of his 4th season at earliest. I don't foresee him getting fired at the end of year three barring a total shitshow of a season.

I don't know what to believe on here, as anyone can really say anything.. I've heard people say Wade is going to come back (doubt it), that McMahon doesn't deal with boosters (possibly), some of it is troubling. Whether or not it's true, what I can say with a fact is that P6 level basketball is a tough game. It's not meant for the faint of heart and goody two shoes. McMahon needs to get his hands dirty through recruiting and bring some real, bonafide talent here.

If we keep our rosters stocked with meh players, we'll keep getting meh results.

I think even the biggest MM fans agree with this. Another season like this year & he is probably gone.

His haters see this year & think he will never improve. I’m optimistic

Hold on! Is Hanny saying MM is purposely turning down NIL money for better talent and/or transfers?

You can’t be serious.

Can he get this done? He can coach but he hasn't been able to get elite talent.
