I for one can't wait for the return of street ball. This team will have it's offensive struggles at times, but the defense and transition offense will keep this team in any game. Then throw in the X-factor of Bashir casually dropping 20 points when hot, and LSU has the squad to compete with any team in the country this season.

It's more likely the opposite is true. Wade's teams generally don't struggle offensively. It's defense that is the problem outside of the one outlier season of 21-22

I get it, you make things up that never happened and will never under any circumstances be honest and use quotes.

not only a wade supporter, but the biggest wade supporter. was happy McMahon fired, always wore wade's school gear (mcneese and then NC st) to the PMAC hoping for his return. went to mcneese games, obsessively followed wade. was elated when wade returned, and said so repeatedly. I constantly quote wade ("the most important big man skill is the ability to catch the ball!") and think he is a genius.
these guys invent the opposite position of your actual position and then get really angry its wild.

agreed. there are critics that wont be happy unless you run the Princeton offense. but Princeton runs that offense because they are not athletic.
wade runs a modern NBA offense that creates switches and mismatches. people look and thinks its just one guy hero ball, buts not, its designed to exploit matchups. like the NBA.
dent in particular appears to enjoy driving to the basket on his own, its fun to watch. wade says he is like Tremont waters, which I hope means he will drive and dish to bigs. there is no play I like better than PG drive that end in lobs for dunks to bigs.

We have 3 players at 7 ft and Niang is 6-8. I don’t think there is a lack of height on this team. There’s more size on this LSU team than any LSU team I can remember

Brother. He’s still stacking LSUs roster now. While also about to have two 5 star recruits committed to him for the 27 season. Gtfh with that shite.

You are so emotional and immature

That's quite a stretch from never making a sweet 16 wouldn't you say. What's he been coaching now, 20 years? Hope you are right. You guys think I don't like him. He is an improvement over what we had, but what has he shown from a coaching standpoint, Xs and Os, that he can do that? He was good when he was getting all the talent before NIL, but now it's all out in the open. Even then, he couldn't go very far in the tournament.
He's been a HC for 12 years. 4 of those were at McNeese and Chattanooga. It's pretty hard to get to the Sweet 16 with those programs. Hell, the fact that he beat a good ACC team (one that went 27-6 with wins over Duke, Kentucky, UNC) with McNeese in the tournament was a pretty remarkable feat.
He also had 5 years at LSU. The admin prevented him from coaching in the tournament in 2 seasons and the 2020 tournament was canceled. So, essentially, he's coached in 4 NCAA Tournaments as the HC of a power conf. team and VCU. That he did not make the Sweet 16 in those 4 years isn't a massive indictment.

This is always the mark of someone who has little understanding of college basketball as a whole because the argument is premised on the incorrect assumption that LSU was the only school paying players in the pre NIL era. NOTHING could be further from the truth.
Wade is an interesting coach in that he has somehow created a subset of "LSU basketball fans" who dislike Wade not because they actually dislike Wade, or LSU basketball. They just dislike that other LSU basketball fans like Wade so much. That's why for the first time in my memory you just saw a handful of loyal bozos who constantly made excuses for objectively the worst HC in all LSU major sports over the last 50 years. The desperately want to prove the "crowd" wrong.
Wade's 5 seasons at LSU were unequivocally the most consistent period of winning in the last 35 years. But for 2020 being canceled, he would have made the NCAAT as many times in 5 years as Brady did in 11 (he wasn't making it in 08 even if he wasn't fired) and 3x as much as Johnson and Jones did in their tenures.
Get ready for this season to see the handful of poster being reduced to criticizing Wade for "not winning enough" at a program that, without him, as been to a grand total of 3 NCAA Tournaments in the last 15 years

Can someone explain how this dude is considered a Freshman? Lol
Posted on 10/21/26 at 3:08 pm to Tiger Ugly
I go back to 1977 when I was 8, not quite Dale' beginning. I was lucky enough to discover LSU basketball right when Dale started to get us rolling.

I’d agree people who didn’t witness his era probably heard more stories from the end of his era which wasn’t good but the man is beloved by LSU fans and is a cornerstone person in the foundation of LSU athletics regardless of sport
He is one of those people who believe that because 10-15 morons on the rant say it, then that means "everyone" thinks it.

I can pull several posts of yours where you ridicule several posters on this site for years and years with autonomy. Congrats on being the ultimate KnM warrior.
Thank you.
And my comments whenever I call you a dumbass are just honest as well. I think you are. You usually prove that to be the case, so good. What's so bad about that? Nothing.

It also assumes that had superior talent than the rest of the league. That's just simply not true. Did have good talent during his first tenure, absolutely, but was it better than every other school in the league? Nope.
He went undefeated on the road in conference in 2019, starting two Freshman.
