Wrong.
The player 1. Had a firm grip 2. Body part was in bounds 3. Maintained control to perform act common to the game by advancing the ball.
Regardless, the call was overturned meaning it needs to be clear and indisputable which clearly was not met.
Further, they had already established this precedent on our fumble prior to this (and I believe Clemson had a play upheld in a completing the catch situation). bullshite call all the way around.

Even when he hit the ground, the ball moved some, but his hands moved with it. He didn’t lose control.
Of course with the other elements of the play, controlling it to the ground was not even necessary.
It was a catch and a bad overturn. If we had lost the game, that call would have been talked about for ages.

The one that infuriates me is the pick play. You can block 2 yards past the line of scrimmage. You cannot blind side hit a player though. That would have made it 4th and 17, and forced them to punt. Obviously the touchdown was wrong too, but I’ve given up on whats considered a catch now.

Were there some questionable calls? Sure, but that happens every game, to both teams.
You’re an LSU fan so you see what you want to see. Go back and watch the game from Clemson’s perspective and you’d see a bunch of calls/no calls that went against them too.

Also, when Clemson was on their TD drive, they had a 3rd and long which got them to the 3 yard line. It was a pass play. They had a lineman that was 6-7 yards downfield that wasn’t called. It was obvious he was downfield.

I agree, might be a great person but this ULL little brother dude should never be allowed to ref an LSU game again. Time for our AD to earn his $millions and make sure this Lafayette ref never works another LSU game.
