When he signs with the Yankees, he’ll win 20-25 games a year. HOF if he stays healthy!!

I see Supreme Commander Chicken avoided the question. You can email me if you want. Your secret is safe with me!!
Can someone call Below Par??

You newbies don’t know him, but he is/was the best source for the inside scoop on LSU football. During the Miles years he was always spot on. We all thought it was David Toms, but I could be convinced it was a Chicken alter. Anyway we need someone reliable like him. Chicken, still got his number??

A court appointed lawyer?? Are you serious?? First, it's only free if you can't afford an attorney. She obviously could. The state has unlimited resources to hire experts and such. It's not a fair playing field.
Karen Read's total defense cost... Over 5 million

Jumped down that rabbit hole last night and watched the 5 part doc "A Body In The Snow" on YouTube. Well that doc only went through the first trial, which was a hung jury. They did the whole circus all over again this year and she was found not guilty of Second Degree Murder only guilty of basically a DUI.
So I Googled how much she spent on these high dollar lawyers, and was blown away. Her legal fees for the two trials and her bond, were over 5 million dollars. She had to sale her home and use all of her life's savings.
My question is this, if you're found not guilty, should the state be forced to reimburse your legal fees??
I say yes.

So you think a "dirty cop" is worse than a killer? You think that if Avery did kill Teresa (which he absolutely did), it's better that he get released because dirty cops are worse than killers?
My guy, a dirty cop can plant evidence on you or your family. It's all bad, but framing an innocent person is horrible. If there is doubt in one case, all the cases come into question. And you so conveniently forget, these same cops already falsely accused and got him convicted once. And it cost the man 18 years of his life.
re: Men's basketball and revenue sharing

When you have the facts on your side, why cave??
1. LSU has 21-22 million dollars to spend on "payroll" across all sports
2. Football is going to get the lions share.
3. Title IX means women's sports get their share.
4. That leaves the remainder for basically Men's basketball and Baseball
5. Our SEC TV and revenue sharing for Men's basketball is set.
6. We can make more money in basketball IF we are good and make deep runs, as opposed to baseball which is pretty much a break even sport.
7. We are not good in basketball and never have been a consistent national power.
How can anyone argue any of those 7 points?? Please feel free.
My question to you "die on the basketball hill" guys is simple. How much of the 21-22 mil do we spend?? Every dime takes away from a sport we are better at. Our basketball money is SET. It's not going up unless we make deep runs. It's NOT smart business to invest heavy into something that has never consistently won.
How much are you willing to spend on men's basketball to lose in the sweet 16?? I knew this was going to be unpopular, but I didn't think you guys would just keep saying "we will make more IF we win!!".
IT'S NEVER HAPPENED. WHAT MAKES YOU THINK IT CAN NOW?? YOU ARE WHAT YOUR RECORD SAYS YOU ARE. LSU is a football and baseball school.

We have tried this. And tried and tried. You are what your record says you are. How much of the 21 mil is it gonna take to get us even competitive at this point?? No matter how much we make, we only have 22 mil to spend on our athletes across all sports. Why pour it down a hole?? Our SEC money from basketball is set. Could we get more for a deep tournament run?? Of course, but that has happened FIVE times in 80 years.

I support all things LSU. I don't hate men's basketball. We are just not good at it. Never have been. The college landscape has changed, I think several Universities will pick a sport so to say and invest more into it over others. Basketball is gonna make money regardless. We are still not gonna win on a national championship level. IT'S NEVER BEEN DONE HERE. In fact it's the only "major sport" to not win. Invest where we are good. That's my point. From the looks of Jay Johnson's new deal, LSU agrees with me.
Don't listen to what people say, watch how they spend their money.
I knew this was going to be unpopular. That doesn't make me wrong.

The point of the OP is this ...
We have to give money to women's sports because of Title IX. Which is only fair anyways. So any money that's left after Football and women's sports come from the baseball budget. That's not an argument, that's facts.
Spend that money on baseball. We are and have been a baseball school sinceb1988. We are not now, nor have ever been a basketball school.

Exactly. We had to cheat to be good. We are not a basketball school. You made my point for me. You said we could go 0-30 and make millions. We basically do that anyway. So spend the money on baseball and Kim. They have proven they can win.
You won't find 2 people on this board who would choose basketball over baseball. Plenty will argue that they would rather mens basketball over women's, but with title 9 and stuff, women's sports have to get their share. I'd give money to women's volleyball before I did men's basketball.

So I've been reading up on the new rules of pay for play. It seems each university gets 21 to 22 million dollars to pay its athletes. How each school divides that share is up to them.
Here is my unpopular take.
Punt on men's basketball. I don't think anyone would argue most of the 22 mil should go to football. Hell I'd say 90%, but that's me. But after they give football their cut, the rest should go to Baseball and Women's basketball. LSU is not, and never has been a basketball school. Why waste the resources??
And don't give me any argument that we are a basketball school. We are not. I was at LSU during the John Brady years. We made one good run with Swift and Bright. Didn't come close to a Final Four with Shaq and Chris Jackson, and accidentally made the final 4 once since the early 80's. This is not a basketball school.
Use our money for sports that we compete in and care about.

This!! 1,000 times THIS!! That's enough for reasonable doubt right there. Explain that to me and I get it. Until then its to much. Like how did they find the key to her car on the SEVENTH search on the floor?? If the cops framed him, they gotta let him go. Even if he may have done it. Is there anything worse than a dirty cop!?

As a fan who at the time, was a young LSU die hard, please don't do this next year. Can you imagine listening to Jim Hawthorne every Saturday during those years?? Jim was a NegaTiger in the 2000s, try 1992. I think I've got some childhood trauma over it.
When I think Curly, I think the pick 6 game at Auburn, and a 2-9 season. How in the hell could LSU EVER go 2-9??

I've seen The Jinx... It's was good. A crazy rich man killed what 4 or 5 people. Then admits it on a "hot mic" in a documentary. Making A Murderer is still better.
