LOL @ ESPN giving into the pressure and as a result having a shite night schedule.

If the game ends up on ESPN, guaranteed there will be a meltdown on here when Gameday runs past 11 am, as it always does. So at least there's that to look forward to.

I know this is unpopular but I really don't mind the 11am games from time to time. Get there bright an early, a nice two of hours of tailgating. You are home by 3pm with the rest of the day in front of you and hopefully a nice W to enjoy your Saturday. Obviously if I was still in college I'd feel differently

Same issue this weekend putting LSU/ Kentucky at the same time as the Georgia/ AL game. Tx/ OK should have been the 11am game and LSU/ Kentucky the 2:30 game.

When the network execs were selecting timeslots before the season I doubt they had LSU @ Kentucky as a top matchup. Texas v. OU is historically a higher interest game so they put it at 2:30 to then lead into UGA @ Alabama.

I don’t mind the occasional day game. Makes sense with Ohio State vs. Indiana getting the most eyes that day. I’m sure that will be in prime time.

This...with the only caveat being the weather. Mid-October can still be hot and humid in Baton Rouge. Even temps in low 80's can still be hot when you are sitting in the sun for 4 hours. This will be the first 11:00 October home kickoff since Tennessee in 2022. It was hot that day. Even worse when your team is getting its arse kicked. Hopefully the weather will be like it was vs. Florida in 2021. It was in the low 70's on a beautiful sunny day.

I don't mind an occasional 11:00 mid/late season start mostly because there is less congestion on campus due to fewer people who are there just to tailgate and not actually attend the game

Seriously, how loud/annoying are the cowbells?

Don't think I can sit through that if it's too bad.

Early prediction on crowd attendance? Does LSU do something similar to what Tennessee did earlier in the year? . I believe they sold half price beer until kickoff to get people in the seats early?

The game is in Baton Rouge. They can’t bring them in.

Unacceptable.

LSU should never be playing home games at 11am.

Curious the crowd sourced knowledge here on what traffic looks like from Lafayette at around 8:00-9:00 AM on this type of gameday?
In my experience, not good. Not many people are tailgating for a morning game. So many more people are showing up near kickoff time and the window of time to arrive is compressed.

Basically, everybody is getting there at the same time and traffic will be backed up before the Miss. River Bridge and might be backed up on the Atchafalaya which will really suck.

It was slotted for an 11-12am kickoff before the season started.

I don't understand the need to pick any TV windows before the season starts. Just seems odd to me.

Curious as to why ABC/ESPN doesn’t air more SEC games at night. This past weekend seemed backwards and this one does too.

Because for some reason Notre Dame @ BYU is on ABC and not NBC or Fox that weekend.

Bizarre choice. So they are going to cannibalize UF/UT and MSU/LSU games so they can put the shite bowl (vandy/arky) and UK/OU at night?

It baffles me how many people don’t understand the concept that LSU isn’t the only team in the conference that wants night games. We tend to get many more than the rest of the teams. Every other fan base and staff has complained about LSU getting all the night games for decades now.

Just be grateful it’s a mid October day game and not a September day game. Also the fact that it’s vs Mississippi State and not A&M/Bama/Texas/clemson.

That was supposed to be the primary benefit to going with a single network rather than the B1G route or ESPN & CBS. It’s supposed to allow for better trip planning for fans. From a media rights deal perspective it’s definitely overrated considering the cost as well as the lack of flexibility for scheduling that we’re seeing.
