Curious as to why ABC/ESPN doesn’t air more SEC games at night. This past weekend seemed backwards and this one does too.

Does the Big10 have a big night slate that week ESPN doesn’t want to compete with? Or a big Notre Dame game?

Bizarre choice. So they are going to cannibalize UF/UT and MSU/LSU games so they can put the shite bowl (vandy/arky) and UK/OU at night?

It was slotted for an 11-12am kickoff before the season started.

We haven't had one of these in a while so I'd like to remind everybody that pregame traffic will be a shitshow to match the postgame traffic. Make plans to arrive early.

At least put the crappy SEC Network game on at 11am as well so one could catch the early part of the UF game and LSU/MSU game once it started at 12pm.

Curious the crowd sourced knowledge here on what traffic looks like from Lafayette at around 8:00-9:00 AM on this type of gameday?

They must be high.
Why are they putting Florida and Texas AND LSU vs MSU in the same noon timeslot?
Simultaneously giving the primetime to Arkansas, Vandy, OU and Kentucky? Did someone at the SEC schedule a fall wedding that day or something?

I'm sure becasue ESPN.com hasn't updated it site just yet.

It was "TBD" because the preseason selection was in the 11-12 window...not a specific time. For example, the Alabama @ LSU game is currently listed on the LSU site as being in the "flex" window, meaning the game could start between 2:30 - 3:30 or 5:00 - 7:00. So as of now it is "TBD"

Cause they didn’t know if it would be 11am abc, ESPN, 1130 sec network etc. they just knew it was an early game.

I hope a cold front comes through Thursday so it’s not so hot…. State looked horrible against Alabama.

Why do the networks choose to slot these games so early? How does that possibly benefit them??

Same issue this weekend putting LSU/ Kentucky at the same time as the Georgia/ AL game. Tx/ OK should have been the 11am game and LSU/ Kentucky the 2:30 game.

I believe ND @ BYU is going to be the ABC primetime game. So I'm assuming they didn't want to necessarily compete against itself by having a marquee SEC matchup on ESPN at the same time.

However, Ohio State is @ Indiana that same day. That will likely be an 11:00 kickoff on Fox. So ABC/ESPN does want to compete with Fox to take some viewers away from that game.
