I’m here and a protestor just threw a rock at Kellen Moore

In the 2nd at Castille, next to the Ritz.
I think of something like #3 Indiana almost losing to Northwestern a few weeks ago. I am not a fan of either team, but I was locked into that game, Indiana losing would almost be a death knell for them and would have massive implications on their playoff chances. Now? It would hardly mean anything outside of a slightly more difficult post season schedule, and even then they'd get another mulligan on top of that.

Everyone will still watch their own teams, but interest in other games will decline.

Or let's saw Auburn and Alabama each have 2 losses one year and are playing each other last game in the Iron Bowl. Everyone is tuned into that. Loser is OUT of the playoffs. Now? It literally doesn't matter. They are virtually playing for a #13 seed and loser will get a #20 seed or something. Just unreal.
This will certainly take the juice out of watching non-LSU games. Watching the Texas game because maybe they'll get upset? That use to be interesting, but if they lose, they'd still likely get 2 more mulligans. At some point having too many teams does start to take the juice out of the regular season. Of course, fans of their own teams will still watch, but interest in the broader sport will decline IMO.
It always happens. Time passes, we win a few games against easier teams and the positigers start to take over.

It started his very first game against USC. We tie it 20-20. Defense is playing decently, and then he goes his soft coverage and they go down and get a touchdown with 1:47 left. We lose. And then months pass. We play a bunch of easy teams, get easy wins. We do beat #9 Ole Miss even while not leading at all the entire game, hard to say Baker did anything special there. But we’re content. We’re looking at a playoff. And then what happens? We all forgot is what happened. We then proceed to give up 38 to A&M, 42 to Bama at home, and 27 to a horrific Florida team.

We then finish off the rest of the season with 3 wins against bad teams. 9 more months pass. In 2025, we go into Clemson and beat them, but we find out later their offense sucks. No one has thought about Baker’s shortcomings for probably over a year at this point. Why would you? You were preoccupied with other things. Vacations, birthday parties, raising kids. It’s natural to forget. Another month passes of easy wins until we play Ole Miss. We get a late score to keep it close. 5.5 minutes left. Can Baker get a stop? Nope. They march down 60 yards and burn up all remaining time. Loss. He then gives up 31 to fricking Vanderbilt and 50 to A&M at home. We fire Kelly but we really should have fired Baker.

In 2026, somehow people weren’t out on him yet. They forgive the Ole Miss performance even though they scored at will on us in crunch time. Why? Because weeks pass. We crush a bad A&M team. Our defensive stats through four weeks look good. Another week passes, we crush, McNeese. Another week passes, Baker is out of sight out of mind. People on this board are projecting we win by 14 at Kentucky, but oh, did they forget…

So here we are. Over the following 3 weeks, everyone here is going to forget. We’re going to beat Miss. St. They are injured offensively and we are double digit favorites at home. Auburn is absolutely horrific. Baker’s defense will look good these weeks, his stats will build back up. We’ll probably show, by the numbers, that we technically have a top 10 defense. Then we have the bye week, more time passes. People enjoy Halloween, maybe Baker is in the back of your mind, it slowly slips away. By that point, everyone on this board will have turned back into a positiger and completely forget what Baker is capable of. Hell, we will probably be beating Alabama, but then they will get the ball with a minute 45 left and two time outs, and something that hadn’t happened in over a month will slowly begin to creep into your mind. Don’t forget.

Edit: seeing some comments like “it ain’t that serious” and “it’s just football” are the same people who were crying and shitting themselves on the scoreboard forum not even 36 hours ago. Pathetic lol
Well he got out of the shite show in New Orleans and has a Super Bowl ring so I think he’s going okay.
I got tickets. The game isn’t the highlight of the trip lol

Yepp, I love baker but this has gone on for years now.

Why do you love Baker? He sucks
No excuse when we have graves on our payroll. He needs to make some things happen
Out of 10.

We did this a few weeks ago. I said 7.5/10 and got 116 downvotes lol.
Primed to give up 250 yards on the ground on Sunday
I saw this on ESPN too. It was literally just a typo. The game is still at 12:00PM

Always bitching about sports personalities giving their opinions

This is the problem though, he doesn't even give his opinions straight up. There are always exceptions and qualifiers in case he is wrong.
quote:

De he ever apologize for comparing 2026 Florida to 2019 LSU? lol

No. He said "technically I never said that. I said that "other people" would be saying that if they were to win". And it's shite like that that makes people lose respect for him. Like dude we all know what you were trying to say.

The Josh Pate hate has been hilarious

People finally seeing through his milquetoast takes and wishy washy predictions.

How our home games typically go

Posted by HoneyDuece on 10/6/26 at 12:27 pm
- Wednesday: The first injury report is released and it's absolutely shocking. And there are at least four starters on it that had seemingly no injury in the game before.

- Thursday: At least one new player joins the injury report that wasn't even there the day before and two more players are downgraded from "limited" to "did not participate"

- Friday: Underhill tweets out a stat talking about how good Shough and Olave are in the second half (like that matters)

- Saturday: Opposing teams' fans flood the city and Bourbon street. Leavitt throws four picks.

- Sunday: 1st drive is a run for 2 yards by Kendre Miller, followed by an illegal shift, followed by a near sack incompletion, followed by a low percentage deep sideline incompletion to 5 foot 10 Olave. Proceed to lose the game.

Did I miss anything?

I just left the game

Undisciplined teams, unprepared to play.
