As a Tiger that lives in Texas, I'd be thrilled for them to join the Big 12 for a couple of years before the superconference is formed.

You don't really want to go to the big ten. It would without a doubt make the cfb season worse for the fans. Just make Sankey step down

Doesn't this open LSU up to lawsuits as well with the players though?

Yup

The governor just tweeted about this. And people think LSU is just going to run and hide

Does the timing suck? Yes. But this isn't about this season. It's big picture.

How? If this is a one time circumstance, then it will never happen again.

So ultimately it is about 2 players.

That guy is consistently wrong on anything tangentially related to Kiffin.

The Judge's Direct OrderJudge Jorden officially ruled that the SEC and Commissioner Greg Sankey are legally barred from enforcing punishments or penalties against member universities that roster or play former NFL contract athletes. The text of the written order explicitly blocks the SEC from imposing any of the severe bylaws they passed last week, meaning:No 50% budget fines can be leveled against LSU.No half-season suspensions can be forced upon head coach Lane Kiffin. No loss of league voting rights can be enacted against the university.

Here we go with this bullshite. The NCAA deemed him ineligible. His sore throat has nothing to do with it. Sankey is answering the question as if the NCAA granted him a medical redshirt. They did not.

What This Means for Saturday's GameBecause the state judge's injunction legally shields LSU from conference retaliation, LSU is cleared to finalize its 105-man roster tomorrow morning with the former NFL athletes included. While tight end Dae'Quan Wright remains sit-out restricted for the Clemson opener due to separate, unfulfilled 7-day practice duration requirements, the remaining eligible former NFL players are legally cleared to suit up.The Federal Counter-MoveKeep in mind, while LSU won this battle in state court, the SEC's federal lawsuit against LSU, Lane Kiffin, and athletic director Verge Ausberry is still completely active in Birmingham. The SEC will now try to get a federal judge to override Judge Jorden's state-level order on First Amendment grounds. The next step is waiting to see how LSU's legal team officially responds to the SEC's new federal filing.

This is about more than that. This is now about LSU being attacked when no one else is. Did the SEC file a lawsuit against Alabama for playing a pro basketball player last season? Did the SEC file a lawsuit against Ole Miss for getting a judge to allow Chambliss a 6th year? No
