Epic callback with the thread title. Our Plains are currently burning, indeed.
Spot on analysis. Dont sleep on the fact that he's a northerner; his extreme "not one of us" background actively hurts the situation as it becomes contentious.

All this plus markedly better passing and run game performance are minimum requirements.

Eh. LSU is finished business for him this season, may just not feel the need to send any strays in that direction.
Agree it's fun speculation. Thanks for sharing!
I'd say the team hasn't looked right since La Tech, tbh.

Yep. I'd be gutted if I was a Jays fan.
I don't much like them either, but I don't want you or a mod to kill my post due to length (hence the question).

Agree. Also think he glossed over things that, upon closer inspection, may have given pause in order to land a big name.
If so, I'd like him to take Ed up on his offer to join the staff. Those two are dynamic when together.
Maybe because he's focused on his playoff-bound team instead (?)

Been saying this all week. LSUs large number of recent or current NFL players is a great resource to tap.

Collectively, these players can inform the process and help decision makers separate traits that really matter versus media or agent-driven narratives.

Way too many "can't miss" names in recent-year coaching searches who have failed miserably to not utilize this approach, which is a clear comparative advantage over all but a few programs at present.
Exactly, 100 percent accurate. Why risk how his legacy is perceived for, what, money he already has in spades?

Makes zero, zero sense.
It was outstanding, for those wondering if it's worth a listen. Real talk about the culture around the program.
There are plenty of good reasons why he should be considered, but does anyone know if he's even interested?

Yes. His old house on Highland is available, did you know?
How about some 01/09/11 truth telling?
