This is an over simplification. Personnel matter and selling out to run blitzes changes things. La tech also tackles very very well. That was a well coached team going against a vanilla version of our offense

LATech was ready to play and are well coached. Thankfully our Def shut them down. But the offense can't come out flat like this for OM, which they won't. Need to get the run blocking and run game fixed and take the pressure off of SL.
SL needs to hit the timing routes and trust his WR's and make his reads faster so he can have the ball out at the break.
One thing that surprised me about SL, that he could not get to the Safety McRae on the pick 6, even though he had some angle on him. He's not as fast as I thought he was. I was also surprised Seaton got as close as he did. Way to hustle big guy.

Against a traditional power running offense, yes.
Offensive lines aren't built for that playstyle anymore. They are built to run a spread offense with a faster, more agile dependent running scheme.
The 335 is weak against a big line and powerful runners. If we ran the Power I, LaTech wouldn't be able to stop it. Les Miles would've feasted on that defense.

I don’t think LSU spent one minute game planning for Tech’s defense. Spent the entire week on Ole Miss.

Sam needs to make better decisions.

It's unorthodox. When you don't see it or practice against it, it can create confusion for an O Line. It reminds me of a Joe Lee Dunn defense. They are smaller, fast and moving arond alot. LA Tech has enough talent for it to create problems. If we faced them again, it would be different. There is also the fact that this was a sandwich game with a very vanilla game plan. The team was sky high week 1. And week 3 has been circled for 9 months. I'm not worried about the running game. I am more concerned with the passing game clicking on deep routes. The Ole Miss secondary is not good. We should have no trouble exploiting it.

The 3-3-5 is literally built to counter the power spread which is what LSU ran lmao

I don't know about the defense , but Tech's secondary is better than OM's.
Tre Dez is going to be busy.

The 335 is the Triple Option of defense
It just confounds good teams all of the time that haven't gone against it

Maybe. Tech has ironically had a strong defense these past few years (we were one of the first west coast throw all day teams in the region of the country and have always been such), but OM is still a major D1 program with more access to money and talent.
If the tigers play like week one, I'm not worried.

f LSU couldn’t run inside vs La Tech, they’re not running inside vs the best DT in CFB
Then how come teams keep running the ball on Ole Miss. They've been gashed 2 straight weeks. And this isn't new. They sucked last year against the run. Weiss and Lane's offense carried them.

This couldn't be more wrong. A 3 man front is better against the run while a 4 man front gives you a better pass rush. Also, no 3-3-5 team just sits in the same front all game. The point of the 3-3-5 is to mix it up. Tech mixed in mint fronts a good bit too which forces the ball wide. They also stunted and moved those head up guys all night.
